Moms who date- how much do you worry about predators?

Oh please. Really, OP. My mom and dad split up when I was eight, and she didn't date until I was 20. I've only had healthy relationships and now have been married 21 years. Look, I get that you want to date, but don't use this excuse to do so.

The real thing that you and your DH accomplished is you both did not model staying in a bad relationship. So that's great!

You've got some good advice on here. However; I would echo those who say since you are newly divorced, you may want to wait a little for the sake of your kids. (and I'd say this to a man, too). They've already lost a lot, and you being scarce, and you being distracted, is causing further loss. This is the time when both parents (or just you, if your ex-DH is a jerk) should really focus on them.
