I had the same issue with my Mercedes. |
Range Rovers literally say RANGE ROVER in big capital letters on the front and back |
If it is black lettering on a black car or very dark car, then you can not tell really. Try next time when a black LR will be passing you by.

It is kind of strange that MB released their 2020 GLE model while BMW still is on the 2019 for their X5. The GLE certainly feels like something else after they upgraded the long overdue dashboard. While before the upgrade, the 2018 models were behind BMW's X5, now they seem like they lipped ahead of it and X5 looks behind. I wonder if the new BMW X5 will try to match the trend that the Mercedes is projecting.
The GLE's dashboard is just amazing. The flow of one big panel, one gigantic panel that shows everything your heart can desire. The continuity of it, without anything to disturb the visual experience. It is something hard to ignore and something you can not deny the wow! factor. The dash and the vents are very cleverly bunched and simplified in entirely new way, it sets the 2020 GLE Model from the previous ones. X5 is kind of more busy and make a bit harder to find what you need for due to many things happening there. All the buttons and switches make it for a little more confusing experience. I am wondering how it affects the car management while driving. Hopefully not a problem especially if someone is used to the BMW's design. For your reference and for your viewing pleasures. GLE 350 year 2020 Model
BMW X5 current model 2019 It just depend what you are used to and like. It is nice as well.

Could you both elaborate? |
It was in the shop constantly pretty much from year 1 for various problems. I was driving on Wisconsin one day and it literally just stalled out of nowhere, which was terrifying. I have two friends who had the same car and they'd complain about how horrible they were too. They're beautiful, drive well but completely unreliable. By the time the car had 50,000 miles on it, DH and I joked that we had paid for the car twice and traded it in even though we try to keep cars at least 10 years. |
Are you talking about the MB or BMW? When you said it stalled? I just wonder if you knew it had the engine shut off feature as most of the modern cars do. Many people do not realize that and they think their car just stalls. Some people turn this feature off or on as needed, others have no idea it exists. |

Visited today MB dealership. My, that new dashboard in GLE 350 is irresistible. It is like you would upgrade from an iPhone to an Ipod for the viewing purposes. Nothing comes close to this beauty. Unobstructed, one long gorgeous gigantic panel and when you start the car, the heaven opens and the lights comes out and you hear angel voices going in your head Alleluia..
You need to pinch yourself to make sure it is all real. I also love the handles. They are a new thing on GLE. I could not see much purpose in them other then visual gimmick but boy, wait until you need to get in or out of the car and you will grab one. They make so easy on you, the whole getting in and getting out of the car experience. Since GLE is a very large car, it gets bit tricky to get into and out, but with those it is just a breeze. I can see myself using them all the time. Now one can only hope that BMW X5 will catch up on them in 2020 because those puppies make such a difference in comfort of getting into the car. Next time you will see one, pay attention and try how useful they are. Nice job MB!
They are not only visually stunning and practical for getting in and out but they nicely nest the little command center between the front seats preventing accidental action. This is where little slider and mooselike device is located.

This YouTube video of GLE 350 is a nice short intro to the car.

The exterior of Mercedes GLE 350 seems to have more "substance" and amazingly sleek design. BMW is nice too though but takes second place IMHO.

| It's Bimmer, not Beamer. Just a friendly PSA |
| Just curious what the HHI of folks who buy these cars. These are $70k+ cars that depreciate really fast. |
