Are Nike running sneakers totally out of fashion among upper middle class women?

Then you are not really "very into fashion and trends."

Haha. Ok.

Was in Nordstrom the other day and they had a whole table of Nike sneakers -more casual than running but they’re definitely not out

Hokas are for middle aged women with messed up feet

Ons seem cool for most 30 something wealthy women

Nike Metcon are for serious gym goers.

At my gym (wealthy area and mix of ages) I see mainly Nike, ons and a few new balance.

No one is wearing Nike clothing though - I think that is why the share price is tanking. It is such bad quality and lacks style. Most are wearing Lululemon

Adidas outlet shoes are less than $60 for most of them

They are great for trail running. They don’t last long unfortunately.

What kind of workout scene is this if you feel the need to wear a fashionable workout shoe?? I understand wanting a fashionable sneaker for every day, but footwear for working out should be based on your foot and the type of activity you are doing.

OP said she's wearing them mostly for lifestyle sorts of things, not going to the gym.

Emily Blunt was wearing a pair of really cool looking Nike high-tops in The Fall Guy, for whatever that's worth.

I am an actual runner (20+ miles each week) and I've worn Nike Pegasus and Vomero for 20 years, because they fit my feet best.

I bought a pair of Hokas a couple of years ago because everyone raved about the cushioning. They were great for maybe 6-8 months, then the cushioning really wore out. My Nikes last far longer (for more miles).

I think Hokas and OC sneakers are trendy, and for people who are using them primarily for running errands, going to fitness classes, short runs, any shoe is just fine. But all the serious runners I know wear shoes that fit their feet best, and honestly it's still mostly Brooks and ASICS.

I guess I also have an aversion to overly trendy things like Stanley cups. Once something reaches that level of popularity (and OC shoes are there), I avoid like the plague.

Had had an orthopedist for my teen tell me to avoid Nike shoes and another doctor for spouse say the same.

Nikes were a bust for my teen runner.

Brooks seem like they provide the highest quality for those looking to actually run. Hokas are super trendy. I do hear good things from people who are on their feet a lot. (Nurses, teachers)

Not a runner, but Nike Metcons are by FAR the best circuit / lifting shoe I've ever worn. I was having a lot of hip alignment issues and they basically fixed them. That said, I only wear them to work out so I honestly don't care if they are in or out, I need them to be ultra functional.

For casual wear, I love the look of Vejas but had to return them because they were SO uncomfortable. I have wide, flat feet though. I bought a pair of the leather all white Nike Cortez and get stopped regularly by people that ask about them! Tempted by Sambas but I think I'd feel too fashion-victim.

Vejas are way overrated, and overpriced for fake leather. They aren't even good looking. OP for running, you need to wear whatever shoe is best for your feet, thats not about fashion. For a fun everyday sneaker get whatever speaks to you,

I love old school Adidas Superstar all white.
Or retro newbalance runners in fun color combos

6-8 months with 20+ miles a week? You’re wearing your running shoes wayyyyy beyond their lifecycle.
