| OP, I hear you and am not surprised. The new HoS seems dismissive of students who don't fit her mold- many in the upper school have experienced it. My daughter had an amazing experience at Holton but things may be changing in ways that support some students less. |
|
Holton was going so overboard in their virtual signaling they were going to remove the word "girl" from everything to make it more "inclusive". It was ludicrous.
And you want an all girls school for your DD, why? DEI policies for a while were saying that the term "girl" was bad. Should you say for students with vaginas instead? So yeah, it was going off the deep end. If you want the most liberal school, try Maret or Field, but they're co-ed. Also applications are closed. |

Am I missing something, DEI is still prominently displayed on Holton's website.

Np. What part of what pp said do you find to be misinformed? |
| LOL at changing your daughter's entire educational trajectory because a contract didn't contain the *words* DEI in it. This insanity is exactly why Trump is going to win. |
Fit her mold? Stop trolling this page. My daughters have said she is always kind to everyone and the girls like her thus far. Give her a chance! |
You go to a single gender school but inclusion is at the top of your list? What am I missing here? |
| Is this the Op that started the other anti-Holton DEI thread? What’s your point in publicly (yet anonymously) disparaging a school where your child isn’t even enrolled? Easy enough to ask your questions without the unnecessary disparagement. |
| Check Oakcrest |
| Pp here. Disregard, I see now that you’re enrolled there. My bad. |
Op said her child is currently at the school. |
| DEI is discrimination. Changing the target class doesn’t make it right |
| Sounds like the new leadership is taking Holton in the right direction! Good for the HoS. |

That's called bait and switch. |
