What agent / brokerage would you use for NW DC?

We used Marilyn Charity with Washington Fine Properties. She was stellar!!!! I highly recommend working with her.

We are planning to sell our house in AU Park late spring and are hoping for a summer move. Not sure how we can connect without me giving my information on this public forum, but if you come up with a way, would love to talk more.

Sounds like a crush to me

Nope, not a crush. Ethan is simply a wonderful, professional, and effective agent.

We used Gerry Gretschel. She is amazing. She lives in AU Park and knows NW super well. https://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/associate/180-a-df2208181528105591/gerry-gretschel

I can also recommend Ethan Drath. He's part of the Nancy Taylor Bubes Group and Washington Fine Properties.

In this context, those are not contradictory statements.

For Cleveland Park, I recommend Anne Hatfield Weir at WFP. She has the inside line you're looking for, and she is not polarizing like Marjorie Dick Stuart. She handles a lot of private listings of CP houses that have not come on the market in eons. And she's a very nice person.

+1 We ended up using her because I liked her so much when she was showing a house that we walked through. Very nice to work with. She helped us buy and sell a house. Would use again.

Agree

Avoid Compass. It’s a rent-a-chair agency with no oversight

I can assure you she wrote most of these recommendations for her own self. It the MO. She also won’t be on your side and help you avoid wrecks

Moving to DC, so we're not familiar with which realtors best serve this area. We are hopeful to have access to homes not on the market yet - either coming soon homes or pocket / private listings up to $2 - $2.5 m. We would like to move in Aug 1, so probably need to move pretty quickly, so there's not much room for error with choosing a broker. Who would you use?

Thank you!

WFP. Also cross out AUP and GP, they’re not like the others in your list
