Thinking of blocking Fox News on parental controls on parents TV remote

My father is a big CNN and MSNBC watcher. I'm a conservative. I would never dream of using parental controls to block what he wants to watch. That would be tyrannical behavior.

I was never so glad my parents were too cheap to have cable.

I would block all cable news channels OP.

That would be wrong of you. You are likely a conservative who does not swallow the Fox News Koolaid and you source your news from more reliable sources. So you get it.

You are incorrect about me. I am a big Trump supporter. That does not change the fact that my Dad has the right to watch what he wants. I even pay for their cable subscription.

My in laws don't watch Fox, but I'd block it 100%. I feel that way about all cable news. Watching network nightly news is NOWHERE near as crazy.

My father in law went on a week's vacation and came back and had to find time to watch THIRTY HOURS of news shows he'd saved. He has absolute bananas OCD about missing "something" and not being "informed". The result is that he's an anxious disaster to be around.

If you are a "big Trump supporter" you support the most tyrannical force in modern American politics, so please don't give me a lecture on "tyranny".

Yet all I and others want is for you to butt out. I’m not deliberately blocking access to opposing viewpoints

Republican here. You can't reason with people who want to silence all opposing views.

So true. And playing a cruel trick on your parents is disgusting and disrespectful. You are so unsure of your own beliefs that you are forced to be cruel to your parents ?
