Everyone around Blake Lane made abundantly clear they didn’t want the school. |
You are a liar, just like Karl. |
+1000. |
| I wonder who would win if they had a contest for which current School Board member is most like George Santos. |
|
There were 1215 petitions of Blake Lane residents asking the site not be made into a school.
https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/save-blake-lane-park This was all going on before Karl got on the board. Everyone in the community was and still is opposed to building a school there. There were FCPS meetings in 2019 (before Karl was on the board) where there were 150+ people in opposition to the project. |
^Every accusation is a confession. |
There is no verification that the signers of that petition weren’t repeat signatories or residents of the Fairfax/Oakton area. And the stated reasons for objecting to the Blake Lane site clearly included saving the dog park, which really isn’t something that should drive a School Board decision. But, anyway, stop diverting, you clown. The issue ultimately isn’t whether a school should have been built at that site; it’s whether there was any compelling reason - which there is not - to then turn around and waste $60M of our money at Dunn Loring, where there is no need for a new school there. It is surrounded by at least four other under-enrolled schools. |
Is that what you told Pekarsky and Omeish when their text messages basically calling you dishonest were produced during the TJ litigation, Karl? |
If the school had been built at Blake Lane, you people would be crying about “KARL FRISCH DESTROYED A DOG PARK!!!” The fact is the vast majority of that community did not want a school at that site. I don’t know why someone outside that neighborhood would have any interest in signing that petition, but if the petition alone doesn’t tell you enough, go rewatch the meetings from 2018-19 where there were literally hundreds of people speaking against the project and very few in favor. Just google “save Blake lane” and you’ll see all the media coverage Elected officials are supposed to listen to the views of their community and the overwhelming majority of the community was opposed. |
You are downright OBSESSED with him. Good thing he got the no gun zone ordinance passed administrative buildings. |
Why do you keep engaging in such deliberate obfuscation? Let’s assume there were a lot of people in the vicinity of Blake Lane Park who wanted to preserve the dog park there. That is still no reason to take money earmarked for a school in the Fairfax/Oakton area (not necessarily BLP) and divert it to a different area miles away to build a school that is clearly not needed. It is devious, it is wasteful, and it speaks to Frisch’s fundamental lack of brains or integrity. The only reason he got away with this BS is because the rest of the board is from the same political party and they weren’t paying attention. Shame on them as well. |
No. You just don’t like it when your lies and half-truths are called out. |
You should stop obsessing over Karl and this one issue...WTF. It's a big district with lots of students and families. Your passion for this one issue - Dunn Loring ES - over everything else the school district is and needs to accomplish, is weird and a red flag that you are not a great advocate for or against any candidate. |
+1 How many impressionable voters do you think read these threads? For god's sake, school board election picks are THANKFULLY not decided on DCUM. |
