They got killed by Battlefield and lost to Brentsville? They have no quality wins no decent wins and no quality losses. It seems like they’ve put together a decent program down in Woodbridge but they aren’t really in the discussion.

Bad competition - Yes

But as worse version of Hayfield you're wrong. Forest Park beats Hayfield 9/10 times. Not that Fall League matters but FP beat Lake Braddock by multiple goals and made their #1 VMI pole look very average. Don't hate on the underdog too much.

Big Picture - I still bet Robinson wins it all. Great players, Great Coaching, Great Program.

Can someone who was at the game explain the ending of the Langley/Yorktown game and how Langley was able to almost come back.

First off beating lake Braddock is nothing to call home about, and when you talk about their vmi pole being average … it’s because he is 😭🤣💀

They have talented offensive players. Over the course of a game talented offensive players seem to get theirs.

The made one line up adjustment for the second half (moving their top offensive middie to attack), but basically they did it the same way any team comes back, winning face offs, avoiding turnovers, and scoring goals. there was inconsistent goaltending at both ends of the field, which tended to favor Yorktown in the first half and Langley in the second. Plus Langley #2 got hot late in the game after being relatively quiet in the first half. don't forget that Langley made a mini comeback in first half, from 0-3 to tie the game 3-3 in the 1Q, and that they came back from four down to win the first time the teams played. they do know how to come back, but not quite enough in this one.

This is accurate. Two biggest differences: 1) Langley's FOGO got hot. It was about even in the first half but he won 75% in the second half. 2) #2 on Langley inverted more in the second half and was able find more space and avoid the designated early crease slide. Opened things up for everyone.

Do we think McLean beats Chantilly? I think it will be a close game

Langley coaching staff on the chopping block? Cant seem to ever win the big game, with all that talent....

It’s VA public school lacrosse none of these guys are on the chopping block. It’s hard enough to find some that wants to coach these days.

No offence to VMI or any alumni, but if you look it is labeled as "Lightly Selective" with a 71% acceptance rate and they state on their website " All cadets are athletes and all athletes are cadets".
If you are intent on going to a military school Army, AF and Navy all have lacrosse programs and tuition is "free".
