Feedback on VLC Club Lacrosse?

Don't know anything about Hammers except that the 2024 game against VLC today was extremely lopsided.

VLC 2024 played Hammers? What happened to "only the best and most elite tourneys for VLC?"

Crabs, Looneys, HHH, Tri-State. Sound like great teams to me.

Seriously? Just what that area needs more data centers/S

Definitely doesn't need more playing fields. No, siree.

Didn't Cavalier Lacrosse have their own fields? Could VLC use those?

So I’m not clear what they ultimately deliver

Which Hammers program are you talking about? The 2027 is doing well, but me son left 2028 Hammers because he did not feel challenged.

Hammers 28 picked up a couple VLC 28 kids over the summer and will be pulling over a few more from some of the parents I've run into this fall.

Where will the Hammers practice next year? They used to practice at the turf fields in Leesburg and then moved to World of Grace in Herndon. But, World of Grace just got purchased for another data center…

I can’t speak to the hammer program, but I can speak to WOG. Players have another year of field access at WOG before that closes officially.

Really sad to hear this news. So many programs use that field space. With lack of turf space for non soccer programs going to be that much harder for clubs to find practice locations and times.

It’s insane the lack of field space in nova. Insane is not the word. Pathetic. With all the Tex revenue they can build a decent complex or two in each county?

Any word on VLC (re)starting a 2027 team?

I have not heard anything, and while I hope they do, I would not bet on it. It is too late for HoCo, and it is difficult to start a 9th grade from scratch in the summer before 9th grade.

For those of us who missed out on the DCE tryouts- is there an option that’s better than True or TopC. Madlax and NL don’t seem to have any openins

There are ALWAYS openings for the right player on any team. in order to make a travel team, all you need is to be clearly better than one incumbent player at your position. if you are interested in DCE, MadLax or NextLevel, contact a family that you know on the team and ask for the lowdown on how your son compares to the others at his position. If they are encouraging, then contact the coach. Beware of the bait and switch where they imply you will be on the A team and then move you to B after you have paid. MadLax does that all the time, and I would not put it past the other two. Now is the perfect time - MadLax usually holds official tryouts in February/March to beef up its spring team, and the other two will hold an unofficial tryout whenever they have a chance to add somebody. Don't wait around for VLC. I agree with the PP that they will probably never add back a 2027 team.

DCE and Madlax are begging for players. NL will take your money too. Huge roster and always taking tryouts. They just revamped the entire 26 team.
