This thread is killing me. I don't care about Kate one way or another y'all are entertaining. I need more crazy theories.

She likes being thin and maybe wanted her bottom ribs removed for corset purposes and things didn't go well. I heard THAT on Twitter.

And the evidence that they are wearing the same clothes in the photo:

- Charlotte is clearly wearing the same top and boots, this is not really even debatable. She is wearing a cardigan over the top that she isn't wearing in the photos from the event -- I don't think anyone believes the cardigan was photoshopped in. She was probably just wearing it earlier in the day (the baby bank event was late afternoon/evening, as it is dark out in the exterior shots).

- Kate is wearing the same shoes for sure, and the jeans appear the same. She is wearing a coat in the photo that she isn't wearing at the event, bu like Charlotte's cardigan, this might just have been something she was wearing earlier in the day.

- Louis is wearing the same collared shirt, or one with an identical pattern, in both pictures.

- George is wearing the same-style sweater in both, though the color is different in the photos (more on this below).

And now the slightly more speculative part, involving the obvious photoshopping of the photo:

- Charlotte's skirt at the event was not plaid. However, her skirt is one of the most obviously photoshopped things in the MD photo, especially on the left side where it juts out at a weird angle and looks totally unnatural. It seems highly likely that the skirt's pattern was changed. She is wearing a skirt that is the same length and fit at the baby bank, but that one is navy (which would also match the rest of the outfit better than the plaid we see in the MD photo).

- The fit and ribbing on Kate's turtleneck sweater is the same in both photos, though the sweater is white in the baby bank photos and black in the MD photo. Making the sweater black via photoshop would explain some of the odd blurring around her neck and jacket collar, as it's possible that changing the color bled into the shadows around her neck and they used a blurring tool to disguise this (poorly).

- Louis is wearing a totally different sweater. It also looks photoshopped, due to the weirdness of the pattern on his sleeve. However it's also possible he just wore a different photo in the MD photo and to the event. If it's a different sweater, it's weird they bothered to photoshop it? It would be hard to make the baby bank sweater look like the MD photo sweater -- pattern has a different placement and is multicolor, and the sweater in the baby bank photos looks fuzzier and more textured.

- If you zoom in on George's collar in the MD photo, you can see it has the same plaid pattern as the shirt in the baby bank photos, but the background of the plaid is blue instead of white, indicating this was just altered for the MD photo. People are also speculating that they slightly changed the color of his sweater in the MD photo, but this could also just be a trick of lighting, making the sweater appear to be a slightly different shade of blue in different light at a different time of day.

Also, none of you will believe me on this, but I have the time for this right now because I'm quite sick and recently learned I have to have "abdominal surgery," about which I'm stressed, so this has been my stress relief for the day!

I think it's so sad. She wanted to give people a pic to stop speculation, and it only made things worse. Now she's stuck bc she doesn't look like the pic so she can't issue another one.

Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C

I don’t see where that says she actually doted THAT photo HERSELF. Just sayin’. I see she “sometimes” experiments with photo editing and that “we” shared the photo. Did she photoshop this photo, or is she just accepting the blame?

She didn't. The Wales's official account released a statement supposedly from Kate that simply said she sometimes uses photoshop, and also apologizing for any confusion regarding the picture, but does not actually say she photoshopped the photo (even though we know for sure it was heavily photoshopped, a fact that has been verified by numerous news agencies and the metadata on the photo itself).

This is yet another instance of the palace making an oddly specific-yet-vague statement on this situation, where it feels like they are trying to explain something in a dishonest way without technically lying. Thus the whole "abdominal surgery but not cancer but no further info available" explanation for Kate's surgery. Even the wording of the original statement about her recovery is careful. Everyone keeps quoting it as saying she'll be back at Easter, but it doesn't. It says she is "unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter." That's very vague! It could mean April or July or 2025, and they won't technically have lied.

Whether the MD pic was taken last fall or last weekend, the clothes were not edited, like some are saying. The boys are wearing a different shirt and a different sweater. The girls are wearing a different skirt and a different top. Kate has her own head and her own hands. The speculation is just nuts.

The angle of her head is the same. And there are strands of hair that line up perfectly in both pictures. Could also explain why other parts of her hair in the Mother's Day photo is blurry and edited.

This is the engery I need Kate fan's to have because they're throwing her under the bus!! Harry said they added his name to statement and they can (and obviously have) do the same to Kate.
