You can always check marriage records online from whatever city or county they are currently living in. |
| I'll Google my name too fairly regularly and have to keep removing my info. Annoying af. |
+1 Most of the info on My Life is totally inaccurate. I just Googled people I know well and My Life confused lots of their information with other people. Even the birthdates were wrong! I was wary of OP's choice of words, but when I looked people up, it definitely looked like a scam. |
What about people who have first and last names that are not so common here in the USA? |
The people I looked up do not have common names anywhere, but My Life is still not accurate. |
Not impossible. My husband had both of our identities removed pretty easily. He sent a strongly worded email. He is an attorney, and he wrote it "as my attorney" He did it for himself too and I'm not sure how he phrased that one. I just pulled up the email he wrote and his letter was about how it said I had court/criminal records, which is untrue and misleading. Almost everyone is flagged with that and it's likely about a speeding ticket somewhere. It was removed within a few days and has not resurfaced. |
Technically, a speeding ticket is criminal activity. |

I think these websites are scams because I once paid for a membership only to find out I had gotten married before I was even born!!
These sites should be penalized for ripping people off.

I called to have my profile removed, and it was gone right away. For some reason I got a 2 star rating.
I just checked, and the profile is still gone months after I asked to remove it. |
+1 And PP, when most people think "criminal activity" - they think the "offense" is more "sinister" than a speeding ticket - even though it is usually just that - a speeding ticket! My Life gets you to join by making you think the offense is worse than it is, which is why it is such a rip off. They also do a fake character assassination by "rating" people - based on what? You guessed it, whether or not you have a speeding ticket (or similar). Give me a break. They are capitalizing on people who use Tinder, Bumble, or whatever online dating site is popular. It is totally misleading and I am surprised they haven't gotten sued by now - especially because sites like that take your credit card and keep ripping you off. |
Applies to me and my info is 100% accurate. Scarily accurate. |
Why is it so accurate for some and inaccurate for others? |
not sure what you mean by this. Since when is MyLife a scam site? If you believe this, then the internet in general is a giant "scam site". |
b Her divorce is a matter of public record. It’s out there for anyone to find |
On some of these sites, there is an interactive feature for people searching for you. So say you type in Jason Larlosworth. It will ask you is this the one who lives in Kentucky, between 40-50, knows Camille Stalkerson etc... |
