Recommendations for Preschool in PG County?

I recommend Greenbelt Nursery School. It is a co-op, but manageable even if you work (volunteer 4ish hours approx 2x a month). Full-time or part-time. I miss it.

We went to GNS also, and loved it.

My son did after care at Rainbow for kindergarten and the first summer after. I'm not sure what changed, but starting in first he asked to go somewhere else, so we are.

I'm contemplating putting my other son into Rainbow for the preschool. From parents I've talked to, it's a lot more academically oriented than GNS was.

Anonymous wrote:Not exactly close, but Cheverly Weekday Preschool is phenomenal. There's a part-time 2-year-old program and for the future, a 5-day 3s/4s class.

I live in Cheverly and am interested in this preschool, but it starts too late (8:15) for me to get to work on time. I emailed and asked if there was a before care option and never heard back, so I guess that's a no…?

I do not believe that there is a before care option, just after care.

You might be able to find a preschool parent who'd be willing to do before care, and take your kid to Weekday Nursery with theirs. Network with the school and the local parents group, CPRC, and I bet you'll find someone.

Another part of the county, but Broad Creek Child Development Program in Fort Washington has been perfect for my daughter. It's only a morning 3-hr day. Very caring experienced teachers.

Saint Matthews EEC in Bowie. My daughter attends the pre-k4, I absolutely love it. They offer before/after care and have full-time and part-time programs.
