Average cost for spring break vacation

We're spending around $5k for flights and 4 nights at an all-inclusive in Mexico. This is kind of a middle of the road spring break. We've done cheaper, more expensive and way more expensive spring breaks. Our big trip next year is over the summer but we still wanted to get away and get some sunshine in!

Same. I think our plane tickets were around 4 or 5k for four.

We haven’t booked anything yet, but I’m planning on about 10K for three of us. Budget might determine where we go. Will take a bigger summer break trip and then a winter break trip that is about the same. One long weekend in the fall. We have family scattered about so we spend quite a bit getting to and from seeing them and build vacations out of it.

About 15k — flights alone were almost 5k for a family of 5 to the Caribbean plus two hotel rooms. This doesn’t factor in food — it’s not an all inclusive.

10k for flights and hotel (apartment style) in Spain for 5 people in Spain. Not including other travel costs or food.

I think $5k is a great price for a week in Aruba. We spent more than that on a week in CA in December.

It’s more than I spend on Spring Break because that’s just not a big travel week for us. We usually visit grandparents, so it’s just gas/tolls and maybe a day trip excursion.

We just spend a little less than that for tickets to AZ for spring break. That’s cheap. We can’t afford Caribbean during spring break.

I would be happy to pay what you're paying for spring break. I am likely paying more.

Family of 3-

This year we are heading to Hawaii-flights, rental car, 8 nights hotel and activities will be just over $6,000. I booked the hotel almost a year in advance and got a great deal!

Last year we went to San Diego- rental car, 6 nights hotel and activities was $2,500. We used points for the plane tickets.

Two years ago we went to Arizona- flights, rental car, 7 nights hotel and activities was $3,500.

Family of 4 (kids are older teens) going to Northern Ireland for a week, and one night in Dublin. We've booked hotels (2 rooms) and airfare which comes out to roughly $4k. Car rental for part of the time is $300, we'll also need to pay for some train and bus rides when we are in Dublin and Belfast. Not sure yet how much activities/entrance fees and food will total, but everyone in our party will be paying full adult rate.
So I'm estimating maybe...$6k total? Probably a little more.

Our family of three just did six nights (12/16-12/22) in Puerto Rico (Luquillo).

Flight for three (United) was $1050. Two BR Airbnb, two minute walk to beach, was $1370.

You don't have us beat, but it's Spring Break. $3800 doesn't sound that outrageous.

way too much. Spending 4200 on flights and another 2K on lodging for 10 days. That isn't counting food or activities. I am very sad that I just calculated that lol.

3800 is cheap. I’m a relatively frugal traveler but I think we (4 ppl) still spend 5-6k for a week break with flights. Last year we went to Costa Rica for 8 days and stayed in more rustic accommodations. We still spent 1k/flights because two were free; 800 on car rental; lodging was about 150/night average; food was at least 100/day (including in our last farm stay) and we spent around 1500 on excursions and then stuff here and there. At least 6k. We have done cheapisg alll inclusive but really it all adds up.

$5-7k is what we have spend to go skiing in CO for the week. Most of costs are flights for 4, rental car, lodging, and food. We don't stay in fancy accommodations or anything.
