Madlax tryouts

NL is better than Mad Lax at all age levels in the HS ranks.

The 2023 DC Dawgs was an outlier year for Cabbell as he purchased the team when club blue folded.

His national teams which is basically the Capital team sprinkled in with a few elite players from his partner affiliates from around the country for very select tournaments, I wouldn’t necessary draw conclusions from.

VLC has been having issues with their older groups due to management that has come over from the CAVS acquisition.... So I do not see many kids going over there.

I also have not seen much marketing in general and that always puts up a red flag.

Haha, I've heard this song and dance before.
I'll believe it when I see it.

agree. the families on the ML 2028 team are a bit like battered spouses, they talk a good game about leaving their abuser, but can't seem to pull the trigger. I do think that the issues are more real this time around, and the mass exodus in older grades might create a "we can do this" vibe. But still, I will believe it when I see it.

How is that - CAVS crew that came over were all the younger teams - that's why VLC acquired them. How does that affect the older groups?

No one is going to VLC if they can make NL or DCE. Those are just facts.

I've had 3 boys go through the club scene is this area (youngest is now a senior). Between the 3 of them, they have played at some point or another for BLC, NL, ML and DCE.

One person's opinion, don't bother w Madlax. CM is not interested in building competitive clubs with a positive/teaching culture that develops boys into better lacrosse players. He is more interested in his media/streaming vertical and his events vertical.

I get it too...the real money is in the events. Smart business guy. Just not a teacher or leader of a team.

Not been our experience. Lots of opportunities to get better, good coaches, great practice fields and great tourneys. Not all clubs in area can say that. We were at one other local club and the staffing and infrastructure was non existent. And coaching was inconsistent and filled with drama. I won’t say which one because want to avoid the bashing.

I will say that these kind of posts about CM really pick up during tryout season. Interesting.

I will
