Correct. I'd book it as a 5 person room bc I need the guarantee that we'd get this layout. It's the only way this trip would work! |
| They're doing away with rollaways. Also that's only a request, not a guarantee. |

If I were you I would book two hotels rooms in an off-site hotel. Adjoining if you'd prefer.
Disney hotels are overpriced for what you get and often shabby. There is no way I'd share a hotel room with my ex. Why are you considering this? |
Not necessarily. I have a family of 5. If I search for a room that accommodates 5 people I'm sometimes just showed suites or large rooms because the max occupancy is 4. If OP tries to do that it might eliminate suitable rooms for her search. She has 4, she needs to look at the room layout and she's looking for a pullout sofa bed. Or perhaps they can roll a cot into the room but searching for rooms for 5 may limit her options which isn't what she wants to do. I've called hotels to ask about cots and reserving a room for 5 when max says 4. For an additional child they are usually ok with that. Maybe OP can just call and ask if they have cots because that should be no problem for a room with just 4 people. |
| Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and wilderness lodge have those options. |
No, not Wilderness Lodge. But yes to Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Also Contemporary, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk. |
| I’d call a week before arrival and chat with someone about your request. They’ll make it work. Disney magic. |
Not always. |
| Just keep in mind OP, re: the booking for 5 people but only having 4, if you're staying on property the cheapest way to do it is combining hotel and tix into a package so saying 5 wouldn't work if you're doing that. |
| I'm just impressed OP is going with their ex! |
| You can try Art of Animation. You'd have a bedroom with a bathroom and then in the sitting area a murphy bed and a sleeper sofa, with another bathroom. |
| Art if Animation has many rooms that sleep 6. Many of the DVC Villas have rooms that sleep more than 5. Do more research… |
Yes. It’s an official Disney property, so you still get extra magic hours (or whatever they are calling them now). There’s a nice pool and a Disney gift shop on property. And a really quick walk to Disney Springs. Get two adjoining rooms, and spend the rest of the money elsewhere. |
| Coronado Springs has nice suites |
|
It’s been 10 Years, but the one with the train that goes through it sleeps 5.
