Princeton Review did a massive survey around the country of parents’ dream schools for their kids:
1. MIT 2. Princeton 3. Harvard 4. Stanford 5. Duke 6. UMich 7. Yale 8. NYU 9. Cornell 10. Brown How does this compare to the thoughts in your households? |
Zero overlap in my household |
So nice to see you posted this - I'm the Princeton Review Publicist for this project. For more info on how the list was tallied and other findings of our 2024 "College Hopes & Worries" survey, just google "Princeton Review 2024 College Hopes & Worries Survey." We polled 10, 800 college applicants and parents of applicants in Jan-Feb for this project. |
Duke? |
Basketball? |
Agree with 1-4 but the rest absolutely not. |
Lol |
Michigan seems like such an awful place. There’s a reason celebrity kids transfer out. |
T10 academics + weather + school spirit + strong alumni network. Definitely a dream outcome. |
Nice try, Buckeye |
And yet, the kids there this year have probably had one of the best collegiate experiences in recent memory. |
Yes to all except UMich, NYU, and Cornell. Surprised no Columbia! |
Weird list. I don’t think I’ve ever known someone irl that had MIT as their dream school. I mean great school for a kid who’s a good fit. But those are unique kids. |
Huh? Pretty much any serious STEM parent will have MIT as the dream school. |
