2. Princeton
3. Harvard
4. Stanford
5. Duke
6. UMich
7. Yale
8. NYU
9. Cornell
10. Brown

How does this compare to the thoughts in your households?

For more info on how the list was tallied and other findings of our 2024 "College Hopes & Worries" survey, just google "Princeton Review 2024 College Hopes & Worries Survey." We polled 10, 800 college applicants and parents of applicants in Jan-Feb for this project.

Michigan seems like such an awful place. There’s a reason celebrity kids transfer out.

Yes to all except UMich, NYU, and Cornell. Surprised no Columbia!

Weird list. I don’t think I’ve ever known someone irl that had MIT as their dream school. I mean great school for a kid who’s a good fit. But those are unique kids.

Huh? Pretty much any serious STEM parent will have MIT as the dream school.
