Veronica Beard - Dickey Jacket

I am seeing this everywhere and it looks nice as a classic staple piece. How does it fit on a petite woman?

I wouldn't think of this at all as a staple piece. Three years in your closet max.

But i'm not a huge fan of VB and don't understand their hype or price point.

These blank threads are worthless without any pics.

I have seen it and tried it, and I just don't get it. It's just not my style.

I LOVE IT! If you're a blazer person , it is a classic. I have many colors and styles. I'd go try on your size in a store. They always have them at Neiman's before you buy. I would say they run true to size though. And they are on sale a lot at ends of seasons.

I don't understand how you can describe this is "a classic". It's a veronica beard blazer that can be spotted a mile a way, because it is not based on any kind of classic blazer style. Opposite of classic. It's fine to love it. I have stuff in my closet that I love, that will probably be in the donate pile in a few years when the trend dies. But to love it /=/ classic blazer style.

They make a bunch of different silhouettes with the zippers for the dickeys. I think you may be thinking of the one that’s really nipped with the brass buttons, but there are a bunch.

I think you are right! Those are brutal. I see there is a much more classic plain blazer, also called a dickie blazer.

But call me crazy: The dickie blazer is just a blazer. Separately, VB makes a "dickie" to wear under the blazer. So for the OP who is asking about the jacket itself (not the dickie) and says she is seeing it everywhere, she must be referring to the nipped one with brass buttons. Because i don't think the classic blazer would be noteworthy?

Mine is ten years old and I don’t really wear it anymore but I lived trading out the styles inside and it was a great travel blazer. The one I wore the most had a black hoodie sweatshirt which was a great contrast to the tailored blazer. It was great.

Maybe the OP wants the dickey.

You keep saying “it”. This makes no sense as VB has multiple styles. Some are trendy, big lapels, extra long, oversized, cropped, etc, but there are a couple of classic styles. I do find myself reaching for them over and over bc they’re classic enough. OP go to a VB store and try on a bunch of styles
