My daughter is 29 and dating a guy who is 7 years younger

She says she wants to get married eventually. I don't know if to this guy or not. Isn't it kind of weird? He hasn't even started a career yet and actually doesn't have a degree, he works retail. She's college educated, works a low paying office job. I'm like why can't you look for a guy with a professional degree when you're a thin, conventionally attractive, college educated 20 something woman? She will never be able to afford a house or family with this guy. We don't have money to give her.

He must have other qualities that she really enjoys.

A man is not a plan. Is he hot?

Homie is living his milf dreams.

Yeah, that’s definitely strange. How’s her self confidence?

If she’s college educated but working a low paid job not in her field at age 29, sounds like they are at the same place in life. As PP said, a man is not a plan.

She's old enough to make her own dating decisions, even if they're mistakes.

She’s horny - have you considered her sexual needs?

The men you probably push her towards can’t go 6 rounds a night with 5 minute refractory periods

Predator Alert!!! A 22 year old man, especially of the present generation, has the mental and social maturity of an adolescent boy.

I started dating my husband when I was 31 and he was 26. He had a degree in East Asian religion and worked at UPS. I worked as a very underpaid social worker. 20 years later he was a software engineer and I was an architect.

Let her be

I think you should be encouraging her career goals instead. She needs to be able to support herself.

A 22 year old is predatory towards a 29 year old? Do you get out much?

I know a couple that met at these ages same age difference and they are going strong 20 years later with two kids.

Did you raise her to believe that money is not important?
