Teen loses AirPods at least annually !!

Anonymous
Argh, she got AirPods and managed to not lose them for 8 months. Then we replaced and she managed to leave them at an event within 2 months.

I am loathe to get her another pair even if that is her only gift (that was her only Xmas and birthday gift each time).

I try to let her get by with some target $15 earbuds but she says they are uncomfortable (i think they just look uncool).

Tell me how your teens don’t lose them?!

Mine finally stopped losing them when she paid for them herself.

I would stop buying them AirPods. They are not responsible
Enough for them. Can you try find my?

I loose them quite a bit. I just see it as the cost of doing life. They have come down in price.

They ended up getting over the head headphones after losing multiple pairs of Airpods. The big headphones are back in style anyway.

How old is she and where does she work?

DD doesn’t drive so I think carrying everything adds to the problem — she can’t just leave stuff in the car

Mine decided he wanted headphones instead. They are hard to keep track of.

My severely ADHD teen has never lost anything in his life. So even if your teen has attention issues, she really should be more careful, and I would not buy several pairs in a row.

We're not an AirPod household. I can't stand things in my ear. We have headphones, and if my kids want AirPods, they'll pay for it themselves. They have not done so yet.

She buys them herself.
Buy knockoff ones and if she still has them after 6 months, you’ll buy her AirPods.

This isn't an Epipen, please don't be ridiculous and think that a listening device is somehow critical to carry around.
My kid carries epinephrine: for temperature variations, it's in an insulated case, and it needs to contain two Epipens per his protocol. He makes room for it.

Get them a $20 wireless pair from Amazon. Done and done.

My DD is 15 and doesn't work and doesn't drive. She gets $10 per week as an allowance for her chores. She also has savings. Once she runs out of money because of everything she constantly loses, she will simply go without. She has broken two sets of mine and so isn't allowed to use them anymore.

I agree with others - maybe she needs headphones so she won't lose them.

Stop paying to replace them. My 10th grader still uses her first pair from 6th grade. I told her I was only buying them once.

I have two teens. One never loses anything. I can't imagine the other one keeping a pair of air pods for 8 whole months.
