There'd be no point since the matter was settled years ago. It's not up for debate even.

People are free to advocate that a decision should be revisited. It might not be revisited, but it is their right to advocate for it. If you truly believe the petition is pointless and the decision will not be revisited, you shouldn’t feel threatened enough to keep posting here.

Buildings falling apart but coddling mommies want their teens to get 30 more min of sleep.

Yes let’s waste 20 million revisiting this again.

And you have parents unable to pivot for their child's well being because it would be too inconvenient for the parents.

My astrologer told me it would be good for my kids future too and that's real science!

Yep. it could be the same one that is on this thread saying " I did this and did that growing up, so my kids should also have to suffer, I walked 50 miles to school one way in the snow and dark at 4am, so their kid should and all kids can too." Stuck in the past.

I’ve been following this whole thread. Which poster are you referring to? Your comment makes little sense.

Mcps for high school is two mikes. With the early start time we can more easily drive our kids as the walk is not that safe. If you shift it back often with after school stuff they’d have to walk in the dark with two major roads during rush hour and the majority of the walk without sidewalks.

Parents can pick up in the dark, just as they claim they drop kid in the morning.

Yes, but the issue is getting home to do it if you go into work later, you leave later. So, if I can drop off my kid at 7:15 am and do my hours I can far more easily pick them up. If I drop them off at 8:30 that makes it much harder.

Really, it’s not that hard to send your kids to bed at a reasonable time if they need more sleep. Try it.
