Trump can’t pay

Because it's not his money. Knight magicked it into an account opened ad hoc for the purpose. Billionaire Don Hankey voted for Trump and is a fan (of tax cuts).

The loan is entirely unsecured and predicated on Trump winning the election and rewarding on the loyal subjects who tithed.

She is in favor of giving him an additional 7 days to come up with the bond. I say he knew to what this was and was trying to pull a fast one. He should be given no more time. He puts up or shuts up.

This.
It’s clear he is unable and/or unwilling to pay. Time for NYS to act.

It’s a bond. Trump still owes 454 million plus interest. He lost bigly.

By MAGA standards, this is winning.

And, that will change with the appeal. Just wait. You will see.

If Letitia is so anxious to get into Trump Tower, she should just bite the bullet, shell out the cash, and rent a space.

Trump doesn’t win court cases. He wins delays.

How did she lose? The $175 million has to be in cash, can't be moved, and needs to be backed up by monthly statements. This is a win for Trump how?

You aren't paying attention.

JUST IN: Letitia James has lost after Judge Arthur Engoron has ruled that Trump’s bond can stand, after AG James tried to have it rejected because she claimed the company didn’t have the assets. Today the company showed that they have over $2 billion at their parent company.

??? And? Documentation has been provided as a result of her objection to show that the state of New York’s financial interests are protected. Is this what you consider a victory?
Ok, we’ll done?

You neglected to quote this part:

“The Judge did rule that Trump must comply with new conditions by the AG’s office, which the bond holder will have to agree to as well. Those conditions should be agreed upon by Friday.”

So because of Leticia James’s objections, Knight had to provide proof today that they can cover the bond, even without Trump’s cash (which they had not done before), and both Knight and Trump still have to agree to comply with new conditions from the AG’s office (which will probably happen, but hasn’t happened yet), and then they will have to actually comply with those conditions.

You have to be pretty desperate to find a silver lining for Trump to call this a loss for James.

This was negotiated. Where is the win/loss in this? Or are you just reading Twitter spin?

"The $175 million bond former President Donald Trump put up in his civil fraud case will not be invalidated, as his attorneys and the New York attorney general’s office reached an agreement Monday after the state raised concerns about the bond and the California-based insurance company Trump used to secure it."
