There had been rumors about this, that Trump wanted a North Korea style military parade with rows of soldiers and tanks and missile launchers rolling by for his review. Many laughed this off at the time, but a FOIA reveals that it was in fact true... He had his inaugural campaign trying to arrange it.

Fortunately the grown-ups in the room were able to shut it down.

I can see the brilliance of it as a psy-op for showing KJU that he's "dealing with an equal" in the negotiations that will eventually take place between us and NK. The NorKs would surely make note of it and notice the similarity. Speaking to them in their own language.

Most here are too young or too stupid to realize this isn't new. I grew up in Germany during the Cold War and then we had moved here I saw military parades quite a bit. Both the US and West German militaries did this. When I was younger and moved to Ft Carson they did as well. They also had open base days and allowed the civilian population to come on base and climb in the tanks and stuff.

As a proud veteran and proud American I see nothing wrong with it. Then again I don't hate the President or the country.
