Southern Poverty Law Center has Millions in Offshore Banks

Anonymous
Anyone else see this as suspicious? Why do they have "financial interests" in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Bermuda? I am thinking its a way to hide the Soros connection?

"I've never known a US-based nonprofit dealing in human rights or social services to have any foreign bank accounts," said Amy Sterling Casil, CEO of Pacific Human Capital, a California-based nonprofit consulting firm.

hmmm...

Yes, I see the Free Beacon as suspicious.

Would you rather me link a Daily Caller report?

You all know the 4th Estate won't run with this story...

SPLC is also calling Fort Bragg, Fort Benning, and Fort Hood confederate monuments.

Do they want us to eliminate them or change their names? Any idea of the expense on that? And, it's doubtful most people have any idea who they were named after. There is also a Fort Bragg, California----named for Bragg. It was named before the Civil War. Do they need to change it?

I guess considering how they are hated by the right, and they do controversial things, they fear lawsuits aimed at harassing them, and they want assets out of reach.

Note

"Dees's legal actions against racial nationalist groups have made him a target of many of these organizations. He has received numerous death threats from some of these groups.[22] In 2007 Dees said that over 30 people had been jailed in connection with plots to either kill Dees or blow up the center.[23] A July 29, 2007, letter allegedly came from Hal Turner, a radio talk show host, paid FBI informant and white supremacist, after the SPLC filed a lawsuit against the Imperial Klans of America (IKA) in Meade County, Kentucky.[23] During the IKA trial a former member of the IKA said that the Klan head told him to kill Dees.[24] Morris Dees and William F. McMurry represented the plaintiff in the trial against the IKA in November 2008.[25"

I guess using the names to teach history is not going so well, eh? (BTW, I knew who Braxton Bragg was without looking it up - cause I read HISTORY BOOKS to learn history, not monuments)

Bannon's fingerprints are all over this. He's mad at SPLC for calling out Breitbart's ties to hate groups.

Hitting them with a globalist charge is classic Bannon.

When you are playing with the populists, make sure your own house is in order. Otherwise, expect the hypocrisy to be unveiled.

Perhaps you'd prefer the daily Kos? (Even as biased as it is, it accepts the facts here. This is not fake news about SPLC):

The board members don't want to retire in the racist US, so they are stockpiling money in countries that are more racially welcoming

You guys are insane. The SPLC is not an anti-poverty group in the nature of a food bank. It's a civil rights org that studies extremist groups and brings litigation like NAACP LDF. You're recycling Bannon talking points, and should be ashamed of your affiliations and inability to just think.

This, seriously people. You claim to read history and be educated, but then you fall right into the hands of Bannon and the Russians where dividing our country and fomenting chaos is concerned.

The SPLC is a dangerous organization. They did great things in their early years, but, like so many non-profits, have gone astray. They are not in favor of civil rights--unless you are a leftist.
Unlike the ACLU which does defend the civil rights of all--whether you like them or not.

I'm confused. Their 990 states they have significant assets. What are they hiding? Nothing. I also read your propaganda OP that states that his salary is outrageous. Really? $330K and they have assets over $350M.

I will continue to happily financially support them.

This is not even news. Op, you are just jealous that the Klan is broke.
