Yes, very powerful, but doesn’t quite align with the percentages - “Black children and teens are more likely to be killed in firearm-related incidents than children of other races. Seventeen in 100,000 Black children died by gun in 2021, compared to approximately 3 in 100,000 White children or 1 in 100,000 Asian children, according to CDC data.”

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/10/02/us/gun-homicides-and-suicides-in-us-children-and-teens-are-at-a-record-high/index.html

Maybe America should be focusing on the real problem.

I’m not sure what you mean. It sounds like you’re saying a lot of American children are dying from gun violence. That sounds like a real problem to me.

DP. Kids need better parenting. What can be done to strengthen the family unit, rather than destroy it?

One group has a substantially greater issue, the solution needs to start there. Catch and release for dangerous criminals, even young ones, is responsible for the disproportionate statistics.

No matter how hard you try to make it, math is not racist. It is math and 17 > 3 and 17 > 1. Substantially greater in both cases.

My goal is 0 dead kids. Yours?

No guns is the obvious solution.

Consistent and active enforcement of existing gun laws will get the number closer to zero.

No guns in the US is a non-starter. As recently shown in Australia nut jobs still find a way. Mental health is the issue that needs to be addressed first.

What on earth is a “military patterned rifle?”

Is that a term you concocted?

Read the Heller and Bruen decisions, AR style rifles and large capacity magazines are in common use. Trying to legislate them out of existence is waste of time and resources, but hey that’s what liberals do.

Take a look at history, where did most of the canons used by the colonists come from, private hands. Yes, one can still own a canon today.

No, its unrealistic solution when there are 400 million guns and they can be made with 3d printing machine.

Community using violence guns do not care and will continue to have the gun for many many year. How do you propose the 400 millinon go out of the hands? Criminal will no turn in the gun.
