You just think you're not having issues. How would you know??

I just called them and they said they can refund the late fee for distribution but not generation...WTF. They said their system is down for maintenance and it will be up in a week (yeah right). They need to roll back to their old system and refund all late fees.

Just got a huge bill and a "disconnect" notice last week after thinking everything was fine and bills were being paid via autopay. I've been trying to pay the bill online over the weekend, but the website is always down.

For PPs, did you ever get this sorted out? Going to call tomorrow, but should we just send in a check? I never had an issue under the old system!

I went ahead and sent them a check. Now I have a $430 credit because a day before my check arrived, their autopay started working again and they took the money out of my account. Huge hassle but figured, I would rather have a credit on my account for the next few months while they sort this mess out.

That's happened to me twice now. It's starting to seem fishy that their online payment processing doesn't work until after I call and process a payment. Then, all of a sudden, the online billing system comes back up and processes the payment again. But, yeah, I figure the $300 credit I have with them will provide a buffer in case their paper billing stops working now.

Holy crud. Thank you for posting this, I just realized I haven't received a bill in forever. Going to have to call them tomorrow.

Jesus - Washington gas's auto pay system is still effed up. I got a call from them again saying I needed to call back. Was on hold for 30 minutes and when I finally got thru, I was told I had a bill that needed to be paid. I said fine but I went thru this 4 months ago and was told the auto pay bug was fixed then. They said while they do show I'm enrolled in autopsy, their system is not deducting from my account for some reason and that I'm not the only one having this issue. When I check online, my account doesn't even show up. They show me a back door way to get to my account online but it won't allow me to delete autopay or the ebill function. I explain that unless I am able to at least get the bills sent to me via email or regular mail (neither of which I've been getting), then it's extremely difficult for me to pay bills since in 6 months, they haven't been able to fix their autopay bug. They told me to just delete my online profile and hope that will cancel the autopay and ebill feature so that I start getting bills in the mail. Otherwise, I should call them every month to pay by phone. How in hell is this a real system and why isn't everyone there not fired?????

File a report with the BBB, and also file with (if you live in VA) the Virginia State Corporation Commission (https://www.scc.virginia.gov/pue/complaint.aspx). I did this and received a personal phone call with an apology from a Washington Gas rep, who was also able to give me an accurate update on my account, as well as cut some of the accrued costs. Unfortunately I still haven't received a bill, but at least I have a direct # of someone to contact at Washington Gas.

They called me and asked for payment bc they don't know when the system will be back up.

Aaagh, don't call them to pay each month! We had this problem, too. Caught us totally by surprise. The kicker was because their system showed us as delinquent, we could only call and make payment during the times when their customer service was open. WTF??? All the other times (like after 6 pm or before 7 or 8 in the am) we got a message saying that they were closed. We just wanted to pay with a debit card but they are so kaflooey over there that even that was a hassle. We finally went back to getting a paper bill. Total joke (on us). Took another 30 minutes with the automated call system to get to someone so we could revert to paper billing.

Well, there's your answer. According to Washington Gas, you're dead -- and possibly under suspicious circumstances. I think you have bigger problems, PP.

I've asked for regular mailed bills for months, they tell me they'll send them but to pay by phone for now. Then another few months goes by with no bill. I did get a cancellation notice once, but nothing else via email or mail. If you were in autopsy before they haven't a clue how to make your a count work

This is the most absurd situation. We've had this problem since January, and made a giant payment in May, and nothing has been debited since then so I guess we have to make another giant payment now. Too bad we can't just bail for a competitor, and perhaps for that reason, they don't seem to be doing anything to win back customers' good will. What a sad mess.

I've been getting bills for random amounts (sometimes for $5, sometimes for $50) at random intervals for months now. Multiple calls have not resolved, asking for paper bills gets me nowhere. What kind of clowns run this "business?"
