Yes I've had the same issue. Haven't received a bill since June! I log in every month to pay and it always says no payment at this time. Even if I'd try to click pay anyway it wouldn't let me.
Finally got an enormous bill. The weird thing is they have posted on my account that I'd been making small payments each month. I called them to tell them they need to get my account in order because I have not since there were no bills. Idiots told me to call another customer service number. They couldn't understand why I would want my accounts to reflect accurately my payment history and their atrocious billing cycle. |
Me again. I was finally able to reset my account. On my profile, it states I am NOT enrolled in auto pay. I was on auto pay for years. I am just going to send them a check in the mail. Hopefully, I will now be receiving a bill in the mail. |
My gas bill is still a huge disaster and I can't figure out what's happening |
Thanks for bumping this. I just went and paid my gas bill. I hope. |
Why isn't this on the TV news? It's obviously affecting a LOT of people and Washington Gas seems to be doing absolutely nothing about it. Not billing me for 6 months and then giving me a $$$ bill isn't working for me. Terrible business practice. And what's the reason behind it all? |
I had the same problems. I recommend calling their customer service line and making a payment with a representative.
Their system is FUBAR. Because it's really hard to have a utility payment system. No one has ever done that before successfully, especially in the DC area. Too complicated. |
Lol! Yes! I'm in love with Dominion's system. Maybe they can take notes from Dominion? Seeing my daily usage is awesome. |
I just got charged for three missed months at once (ouch!), and when I called to figure out what was going on he said their autopay was completely wiped out under the new system. I asked why they didn't send any notice and he just said "we'll refund the late fees." My takeaway was that customer service doesn't seem to be a priority. |
Seriously. How do they F up a utility system beyond all recognition? That takes some talent. Maybe they should be covertly placed by the CIA into the ISIS utility company or something. |
I mean I can't even find out what I should be charged? I had $350 one month and then $160 the next month. My bill is normally about $60. I'm irate, but they can't make heads or tails out of their system either. I wish I knew where to complain because I think I'm being taken. |
Same here, ended up with a threat "your gas is going to be cut" although we thought we were on autopay. Ended up paying online |
OMG! We also aren't received a paper or an electronic bill. What the heck?! How exactly are people supposed to know to pay when they disable e billing?? This is a major issue and someone needs to look into this. |
Did you all see this- Washington Gas wants a 9.6% rate increase?? You know, when they are failing currently and gas is at record lows.

I just laid them 569.00 we didn't have because I was afraid they'd cut us off. They sent me bills in Nov and Dec, said they were scheduled to be paid... And didn't take the money. For jan-march, they just didn't bother sending bills. I think we still owe them, but fuck them. This is nuts. |
Anyone still having issues? I hadn't received an ebill since January. I called their automated line and was told I owed $170 by May 4. I sent them a check by mail. So yesterday I called to find out what months the $170 covered and if they could send me paper bills. They put me on hold for more than 5 minutes and then only told me that the ebill system should be working in time for the next month's bill. |
