Mainly for comfort I think. |
+1. Me and DD (16) always wear some sort of sleepwear while DH and DS (14) always sleep naked. |
Why do people also do things like resurrect 9-year-old threads? I don’t think this is a relevant question for OP anymore, as her son would now be either 23 or 24. |
People are trying to normalize sleeping in the nude. Gross! We really need to get the government bedroom inspectors to take action here. |
Haha. Everyone under our roof, parents and teen kids, sleeps nude anywhere from occasionally to frequently to all the time depending on the individual, so it’s already “normalized” in our household (and probably a good many others). Some seem to feel the need to talk about it all the time to the point of reviving an almost decade-old zombie thread. It’s just another way to sleep. |
Sorry that I am participating in reviving an old thread but is there a pattern in regards to for example gender or age in who of you does it occasionally and all the time? |
Feels good and why do we always need to be in clothing even sleeping?! Being naked is so taboo and weird to me. No other culture is as hung up about naked bodies like Americans. We are all born naked you know! Same parts for same genders. |
So you watched your neighbor fleeing a burning building to save her life and all you could do is judge her for her sleep habits. Lovely. |
Good point |
Gross how often does he wash his sheets? |
100% cotton underwear breaths. |
I run as hot as possible with thyroid disease and I have to sleep in a Tee shirt cotton underwear. I think guys should sleep in boxers and undershirt it just seems cleaner that being bare on sheets all night long. |

There are of course lots of exceptions but to some extent, I think there is. Both DH and DS (14) sleep in the nude while I and DD (16) wear sleepwear. |
DH only wears boxers, same with my sons(3,5,7). None of them like the feel of pajamas and find them hot and suffocating.
I wear pajama pants and a tank top. I don’t like feeling my bare legs touching. I’ve slept naked but don’t find it as comfortable as soft breathable pajamas |
My husband, and I assume my son, run hot. Meaning, my spouses body is like a furnace. On the coldest nights, I don't need to touch my ice-cube feet to his body, just put them nearby and they are warmed up as if next to a fire. Spouse says he can't imagine wearing clothes to bed, because he would be sweating so much. I assume the same for son |
