Why do people do this?

I sleep in a full tuxedo. You never know when an elegant event might break out, and you will need to be ready immediately. I feel so bad for the poors on this board.

I have no strong opinion on this. It’s something that just wouldn’t occur to me to do, and DH doesn’t either. But over the years, I’ve noticed numerous discussions on DCUM about sleepwear, and unless the same few people are answering repeatedly, it seems that sleeping naked is considered very normal around here. If you do it regularly, what is so special about it? How old were you when you started (i.e. is it at all unusual for a 15yo)?

I’m really not a prude. Just wondering.

Yuck. What a Perv. I don’t even shower naked.

So many garments have horrible-feeling polyester in them. Maybe kid would like some soft 100% cotton pjs.

I just like the feeling of sleeping naked. Started when I was a teen. In college when I had a roommate, I'd sleep in men's boxer shorts and a tank bb

I keep a pair of shorts and a long t shirt in my bedside drawer should I ever have to go into DS' room or get out of the house.

Pretty sure my kids started sleeping in just their underoos right after potty training. We keep a set of pajamas for sleepovers/camp but otherwise they are just in skivvies. We do get dressed upon waking before breakfast though.

OP. He knows something so mundane wouldn't "shock" me. He's really doing it.

You seem pretty shook by this if you have to post about it here. Just saying.

I'm seriously considering it as with age my skin has gotten sensitive and clothing seems really bother at night. I've switched to soft dresses for now, pajama pants are out of question.

On the coldest nights, I don't need to touch my ice-cube feet to his body, just put them nearby and they are warmed up as if next to a fire. Spouse says he can't imagine wearing clothes to bed, because he would be sweating so much. I assume the same for son

Yes, I read somewhere that men have higher skin temperature than women so they feel hotter.

Same here. Except DS (16) started sleeping fully nude about two years ago.

How does being nude help you play video games?

You’re not alone. As I got older, seams on all clothing started to irritate my skin. I now have to wear t-shirts inside-out so the seams are smoother. Also, even if a shirt is 100% cotton, I’m pretty sure the seams are often sewn with coarse polyester thread.
