I don''t think it is that usual for teen boys to sleep in the nude.

Keep some pajamas for trips or school pajama days
My kid’s been sleeping in his undies forever and he didn’t have any pjs when he needed them

I think shorts and a t-shirt would do it in most cases.

My DS (15) sleeps in the nude here at home. He doesn't like to feel constricted when he sleeps and hates wearing clothes to bed but when he sleeps any where else he wears boxers and a t-shirt.

I have no strong opinion on this. It’s something that just wouldn’t occur to me to do, and DH doesn’t either. But over the years, I’ve noticed numerous discussions on DCUM about sleepwear, and unless the same few people are answering repeatedly, it seems that sleeping naked is considered very normal around here. If you do it regularly, what is so special about it? How old were you when you started (i.e. is it at all unusual for a 15yo)?

I’m really not a prude. Just wondering.

nothing about prudishness - it means that the sheets will need to be cleaned more often. With pajamas, the skin sheds in the pajamas and you can wash more easily and frequently. That's why they exist. Without it, the sweat and skin is in the sheets, which means more smell and more laundry. Are you doing his laundry?

I sleep in silk nighties which tend to ride up, but for some reason I don't really care for sleeping in the nude.

I do sometimes in the summer when its hot to be cooler. I started to I finally got my own place in my 20s. I also sometimes where a very skimpy nightgown which comes to the same thing honestly. In the winter however, I wear flannel pajamas and a hoodies. Sometimes fuzzy socks too.

Pjs need to be washed too.

I started wearing something for sleeping when we had kids. I can't stand the feel of pajama bottoms or even short sleeved tees, so I wear sleeveless, lightweight nightgowns. It's just a comfort thing.

Pjs need to be washed too.

But it’s more time consuming and more costly to Change/wash sheets than it is to change/wash pjs.

Yes everybody should just wear or not wear what makes them most comfortable.

+2. My mom always told my sis and me that and now I cannot stand sleeping in panties. It annoys me that I have to wear panties during my period. I generally sleep nude with just a sleep bra on; sometimes if it's an especially cold night I'll sleep in a short cotton nightie. Sleeping in flannel pj's would be unfathomable to me. I like lounging in them, though.

I can’t imagine sleeping in a bra!

My DS (16) does that too. Just tell him ro wear something if he leaves he room and knock before entering and you will be fine. I think many boys/men like to sleep that way.
