She was superintendent for a small county in North Carolina with 13 schools and 7000 kids. Even in a district that small she couldn't do the job, the board bought her out of her contract early. The Board is a bunch of idiots if they hire her and they will end up in the same situation they were with McKnight in a year.

Not long after his second MCPS contract was in place, Smith moved to Maine, where his wife was living, to help with a sick grandchild.

School superintendents, just like teachers, are leaving in droves. There's not a huge candidate pool to draw from that have experience with large, diverse school systems, so it doesn't matter what search firm they get, the candidates will be the same
