No, for McKnight's search they hired HYA. Same firm that handled Smith's and Starr's. This is a different firm. |
Right. Paying 3 times as much as they have in the past for a firm that they hired behind closed doors. If that's what makes you happy, then applaud! |
They are going through the motions. Felder is it. |
Yep. |
Are you the same person who incorrectly predicted the board would hire HYA again? |
While I don't put this past the BOE, I really hope this isn't the case. I have not been impressed with her at all. She's not bad, but she's just there. |
Seems like a smart move I mean look how the recommendations of the last firm turned out... |
I know she's all into this student code of conduct and improving safety and discipline in schools. That's so inequitable. |
You're not supposed to remind the predict-y posters about the incorrectness of their previous predictions! |
When they are screaming that they don’t have enough money and making cutbacks that hurt students and staff. |
I actually wish she WAS into those things. I've yet to see her take any meaningful action that would make me think she's serious about improving in those areas. |
So you don't want an inside hire, you don't want to pay the previous cheaper search firm for an outside hire, and you also don't want to pay this less cheap search firm for an outside hire. |
The BOE's primary job function is to hire, supervise, and as needed, fire a superintendent. I would prefer that the BOE utilize competitive and open procurement practices and utilize a search firm that has connections into the potential pool of superintendent candidates, instead of a firm that was a quick hire through a bridge contract that has NO experience hiring superintendents into school districts. There may be some good individuals on this board, but as a group, sorry, they are a fail. This is our kids' educations we are talking about. |
