Hell, all she had to do was hop into a taxi and demand they drive her across the border - Monaco is so tiny that could have been in France or Italy in 5 minutes. They don't require or check for passports when you're traveling between European countries by car or rail - even as a foreigner just like in the States.

No for Schengen. Monaco is a de facto Schengen country since you can only get to and from Monaco by transiting through a Schengen country. I live in the EU with a US passport. Nobody checks my passport even at the airport (unless going to/from non-Schengen) and definitely not the zillion of access points between bordering countries.

I'm getting into the monaco royals and what the hell is that all about? I love Grace Kelly. I thought Albert was always the good one whereas Caroline and Stephanie were always in the media for the wrong reasons.

What about Caroline's kids? Charlotte seems nice and I've seen her being nice to Charlene.

Albert has two kids by two other women. I think he may still be in a relationship with the mother of his son. She and their son came to an event while his wife was in SA, I think.

He was/is a player. In the '80s, a friend told me that she knew someone who had slept with him in NYC and that it was a joke because "everyone slept with Prince Albert" and said so. He went to college in the US, Amherst, maybe?, and worked here. I think his father had to pressure him to cone home and get married. I believe he already had had a daughter by then. She and her mother lived in southern CA. Not sure if they still do. I think his son was born after his marriage but I'm not sure.

European NP here. This will be my last post in this thread because I have become bored. But this is the sort of thing I am talking about. She got that crazy-looking haircut purely to embarrass her husband and his family. That sort of spite will not be tolerated nor should it be. Countless women and men before her have played their parts and she is not special. No one in Monaco and respectable European circles has any sympathy at all for this arrogant woman.

Caroline had lots of drama in her life with her marriages, especially the first and third. Her last husband was a German aristocrat and sounded like a louche creep. Don't know much about her kids.
