I agree with this. They look like adult pacifiers.

^^ you two are sooo misinformed. I think it looks stupid, too, but *I* am not so stupid to think that it's harmless, too. Inform yourselves.

It was in WaPo or NYT the last month (tried searching) that that opiate that makes you bark like a dog and go crazy can be vaped. Make sure that your teen knows what's in it - at the very least.

There are lots of chemicals in e-cigarettes, including diacetyl, the chemical that sickened the workers in the microwave popcorn industry a few years ago.

And as this article lays out, the vaping industry is following the Big Tobacco playbook regarding regulation and marketing.

As someone who watched my father die a horrible death from lung disease, I would do everything possible to keep my kids from vaping.

Unfortunately it is VERY widespread. My 19 year old college student athlete vapes and so do all his roommates. I have talked to him about it but I'm sure it is falling on deaf ears. I think my HS senior vapes too. I was in the same boat; they both started before I even knew what it was. I am kind of at a loss how to deal with it. Obviously my older DS is out of the house so not much I can do there. But PP is right that the vapes are small and often you are not even aware they are doing it. Uggh.
