Why does Jennifer Aniston apparently have trouble with men?

Pretty much. She seems more "normal" than most, including Jolie.

And anyway, last I heard, JA was in a longterm relationship. How is that "trouble with men"?

The double standard IS ridiculous. Clooney was seen to be the happy, elusive, confirmed bachelor. Aniston in the meantime is viewed as a girl who can't seem to keep a guy on the hook.

I say she lets those guys fall right off that hook. As soon as the fireworks die she let's the relationship die. The guy then strays and poor Jennifer looks like the wronged one with the broken heart. Rinse, repeat.

What's the deal here?

Based on what? Have you ever been in the same room with her? How does one make a judgement about someone's personality and intimate relationships when they've even met the person???

You can tell a lot about someone's personality if you observe them
Closely during interviews and public appearances. Also her Vanity Fair article after the Brad Pitt divorce was pretty revealing.

Well we can call her the nicest, funnest person in the world, she can't keep a relationship going for some reason.

Not very bright and also not very mature.

Couple that with fame since her early 20s and she's just not cut out for marriage. Or parenthood.

Why marry Brad to begin with? Maybe it's just what every other single-40s-something woman deals with and Chelsea leans into it, but my take is, even through all of the acting and what-not, she seems to be screaming "LIKE ME! - please like me!" No one forced this woman into her field, no one makes her go to these vents, and date these men. She chooses it. Roberts married a camera-guy who stays at home with the kids. Aniston married Brad f-in Pitt. I don't have a TON of empathy, sorry.

Julia Roberts married a camera guy after romancing -- and sometimes becoming engaged to -- several Hollywood guys who she then left.

She's a human being, why does anyone have problems maintaining a relationship?

See, I'd feel no shame if my husband left me for Angelina Jolie. I assume he'd similarly understand if I left him for Brad Pitt.

I think G. Clooney has much more serious issues than Aniston.

It's easier for Chelsea to own up to it because that's her schtick. But Jen is supposed to be the girl next door. The reality is that Jen's career will be on a downward trajectory (think: Julia Roberts, her predecessor). She's too old to play the leading lady, and she's no Meryl Streep so she won't garner the limited roles for older women (Reese, Winslet, and Julianne have better odds than she does). Maybe she'll end up back on the small screen some day?

Julia Roberts is not on a downward career spiral. I don't think Roberts and Aniston is comparable. Aniston has only done romantic comedies. Julia's films have included romantic comedies along with drama films. Roberts is one of the older actresses who is currently offered the leading roles. She was in "Osage County" with Meryl Streep. She was in Erin Brockovich, Charlie Wilson's War, Normal Heart, etc. And although I don't give much credit to the Oscars due to the politics, Hollywood does, and Roberts has an Oscar.

Roberts narrow band of acting has played out to its natural conclusion. Osage County didn't go anywhere. Roberts hasn't been in anything of note lately, which is fine, but she's not any kind of acting powerhouse. Or even a respectable aging actress.

She's engaged to a hot, smart guy, has a successful career and $$$$, and seems very happy. How is this "trouble with men"? Are you putting stock in the tabloids, which have been claiming that she is alone and pregnant for at least 15 years now?

Are you talking about Jennifer Aniston? Career is anything but successful at this point. She's not been able to transition to movies except in minor roles. Those that "star" her have all bombed. The fiance doesn't even live in the same city as she does. She doesn't seem happy at all since she is always harping on her personal life in interviews, but I guess she does have money so there's that.

Clooney is gay, and pretty much everyone knows it. That's why it's no surprise he remained a "bachelor" for so long.

I heard that too, but honestly I don't care.

I wish she would just accept that and be happy. No shame in not being the marrying or parenting type. Be who you are.

?? She was the highest paid actress at the height of her career. It's totally possible that she's not actively pursuing jobs either.
