Why does Jennifer Aniston apparently have trouble with men?

Clooney is gay?

Is this a real rumor, or did you just make it up?
(I am being serious.)

Sorry to derail, but this was a huge buzzkill.

Why would any woman desire marriage after the way hers ended with Brad Pitt? I would probably date someone or be engaged indefinitely too.

It's easier for Chelsea to own up to it because that's her schtick. But Jen is supposed to be the girl next door. The reality is that Jen's career will be on a downward trajectory (think: Julia Roberts, her predecessor). She's too old to play the leading lady, and she's no Meryl Streep so she won't garner the limited roles for older women (Reese, Winslet, and Julianne have better odds than she does). Maybe she'll end up back on the small screen some day?

Julia Roberts is not on a downward career spiral. I don't think Roberts and Aniston is comparable. Aniston has only done romantic comedies. Julia's films have included romantic comedies along with drama films. Roberts is one of the older actresses who is currently offered the leading roles. She was in "Osage County" with Meryl Streep. She was in Erin Brockovich, Charlie Wilson's War, Normal Heart, etc. And although I don't give much credit to the Oscars due to the politics, Hollywood does, and Roberts has an Oscar.

Roberts narrow band of acting has played out to its natural conclusion. Osage County didn't go anywhere. Roberts hasn't been in anything of note lately, which is fine, but she's not any kind of acting powerhouse. Or even a respectable aging actress.

?? She was the highest paid actress at the height of her career. It's totally possible that she's not actively pursuing jobs either.

Highest paid doesn't necessarily mean good actress. Sure, she was paid a lot of money for Runaway Bride, My Best Friend's Wedding, Notting Hill, and a bunch of other lightweight rom-coms, but those days are over. That said, I don't think Roberts and Aniston are comparable. I would seriously doubt they are up for the same roles.

Yes, it is real. There have been rumors about him for years. Amal must be getting paid a ton for this gig. I think he wants to transition to politics.

And anyway, last I heard, JA was in a longterm relationship. How is that "trouble with men"?

Um, I did. I've always thought George a looney had issues.

I've never thought George Clooney was all that attractive. I've tried to see what women are swooning over and it is just lost on me..

Jennifer Aniston just strikes me as the type who grows bored being with one guy for too long,

I thought she was a pothead

I loved her as Rachel on Friends, but seeing her in interviews has made me realize she is not Rachel. (I know.) She just doesn't come across as bright or articulate or fun. At all.

NP. Honestly, will you believe unsubstantiated allegations from an anonymous board. If the person comes back and says absolutely, how will you vet that answer? Come on PP, people put their opinions without proof all over this board. Personally, I don't know if he is gay. He has never said he was. In fact, he has stated in interviews that he has found that allegation offensive because if he would not hide from it as it would be offensive to his many gay friends and colleagues.

Anonymous wrote:Why is Jen Aniston having trouble keeping a guy? she's beautiful and seems to have fun chill personality. She's currently with Her fiancé but they seem a little hesitant to go ahead and get married.

What's the deal here?

Based on what? Have you ever been in the same room with her? How does one make a judgement about someone's personality and intimate relationships when they've even met the person???

I know people who have never married or are widowed or divorced and the reason they are not married now is they simply have not met the right person. I would have had at least 1 divorce if I married person XYZ so this thread is really silly.

Wow, tell that to Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Juilianne Moore, Judi Dench, Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sigourney Weaver, Sandra Bullock, Rachel Weisz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halle Berry, Cameron Diaz, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Jodi Foster, etc.

Nah, there is still work out there for women over forty, fifty, and sixty.

Why does she always seem to settle for everyone's sloppy seconds?

Because by the time you're in your 30s and 40s, people have had previous relationships. She was married before, too, so I guess Angie got her sloppy seconds. And Brad got Billy Bob Thornton's sloppy seconds....

Sloppy thirds. Her first husband was Jonny Lee Miller.
