What channel is Busytown on? I've never seen it on TV, but my son loves the books.

Wild Kratts is great. So is Zula Patrol, but I don't think that's on Netflix/Amazon. The Magic School Bus is a fantastic show and that's on Netflix (although some of info is outdated, like that Pluto is a planet).

I know you said no product tie-ins, but what about product tie-ins that no longer exist? He-Man is on Amazon.

My daughter is in this age range, and we have a two-year-old girl, too.

Peppa Pig is most reliable.
Octonauts is big with the older one.
Wonder Pets is big with the little one.
Miffy and Friends is the current favorite of the little one
Didn't see any mention of Noodle and Doodle, that gets some play, although the guy's a little odd
Super Why is good for some small screen time, and the PBS Kids app in general. Elmo app for the little one

There are others but these are the most reliable and tolerable. Glad to see the Caillou hate. I scramble to change the display when it comes up in the "you might like" panel.

No, Super Why is awesome. That and Sid the Science Kid are BY FAR my 4 year old's favorite shows.

No Super Why and Word Girl are great and not too "teachy." Our 4YO also likes "Peep and the Big Wide World" which teaches basic science concepts and also is not too teachy or preachy.

I don't know what channel it is on but Busytown Mysteries is available for streaming via Netflix.

My 4 y.o loves the Berenstein Bears and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, both available on demand.

My 4.5 yo has just gotten into Clifford's Puppy Days on Netflix.

Each epi has 2 "story" segments, with little vignettes in the middle. Good, multi-cultural cast, and decent social lessons. The pets -- Clifford, of course, plus the neighbors' dogs, a rabbit, a bird, etc. -- have their own separate social lives and adventures.

Netflix:
Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Curious George
Barney (I can't stand it but the kids love it)
Super Why

WETA Kids reruns original Mr. Roger's Neighborhood episodes.

Did you know his mom knit all his sweaters? This is what I've learned so far from watching it again.

No TV show is good for a kid that age. They should be reading.
