Things I love about moms I know

They also gave me great advice when I was trying to figure out how to come back to the office after my DD was born.

Yes! Great one. I love the moms who fought for reduced hours/flexible schedules so that when I came back from maternity leave, everyone asked me "so what is your schedule now?" and just assumed I was on a different schedule, rather than making me feel weird about cutting my hours.

I love WM who can admit working is tough and SAHM who can admit they get bored.

I love moms that smile at you. We may be vastly different in many ways, but we are also very similar. I don't care what you are wearing, what you are driving, where you shop, how old you are, what you look like....when another mom smiles at me knowingly (which unfortunately is very rare) she probably doesn't realize how beautifuls she looks. It sounds corny but I have seen so many mean looking moms and you just want to get out of their way. Very ugly.

Love the moms who invite me and my little ones over for dinner on a night when my DH has been away for 2 weeks and I am at my wits end. So kind.

Great Thread!

Mom's who actually admit that having children can be soooo tedious and mind numbing.

SAHM here. Yes, yes having children can be mind numbing to the point your brain bleeds out of your ears. There, I said it!

New SAHM mom of 2 mo. old boy here. I wish I had one of those lovely moms giving me a hand now that my husband is overseas for 14 days.

I love the wise and honest mom/grandmom across the street who said to me when we first moved in (my kids were 3 and 9) "The days are long, but the years are short."

I love moms who cheer for other people's kids at soccer games, swim meets, baseball games, cross-country meets, etc.
