Sons of Anarchy - last night's episode - spoiler alert

So the cat's out of the bag and Abel told Jax that Gemma killed Tara. It happened at the very end of the episode so other than seeing Jax's vexed facial expression, there wasn't much more development of the story.

Any ideas on what Jax is likely to do with the information? How do you think Gemma will react if Jax confronts her?

Remember I few episodes below Gemma thought he had figured it out when he had some of his crew escort her to the cabin. She took a gun with her and appeared ready to shoot her way out of necessary. She even called her boyfriend Nero to come over.

I think Jax will confront her and she will get Nero involved in protecting her and she will end up getting Nero killed as well. It will be just desserts for her and really bad luck for for Nero who was unlucky enough to fall for her. If he is smart he will ignore her call and keep heading towards that farm.

Gemma is a pretty pathetic character and deserves what ever is coming to her. Nonetheless, I'm dreading it and I don't know if I can watch.

I have it DVRd but I can't help but read spoilers!

I think its going to take a lot for Jax to be able to believe it 100% his brain will want to deny it even if his heart believes it, he will make justifications bc the kid is the source and kids get confused, etc

I think its amazing how good an actor Jimmy Smitts or whatever his name is that plays Nero is because you somehow root for him even though he's done things just as deplorable as any other gangster! Also when you think about him being presidential on West Wing to this, such range

OP here - Good thing you have it DVR'd. You can fast forward through the breaks and get through it in a reasonable amount of time. I actually fell asleep and didn't catch the final scene but read up about it today and can't believe I missed it.

I think you are right that he is going to have a hard time believing Abel. I actually thought that Unser would have put it together by now. I'm surprised Juice didn't tell Nero when they were in the closet together.

Jimmy Smits plays Nero like he is the Charlie Brown (or maybe Mr. Rodgers with his cardigan motif) of outlaws. He always acts a little uncomfortable in his skin. The only time that changed for me was when he was mowing down some rival gang with a machine gun with the rest of his crew.

I gave up halfway through last season. Anyone want to tell me how Abel knows this? isn't he like 7?

Abel is five now and overheard Gemma "confessing" to his little brother Thomas about how killing their mother was a horrible "accident". This confession was brought on by Gemma being overcome with grief (and guilt) because SOA VP Bobby was killed as a result of Jax's plan to exact revenge on Tara's killer - who was id's by none other than Gemma.

After that Abel began acting up at school and smacked a classmate across the face unprovoked with his lunchbox. This was off camera of course. At home, Gemma was asking Abel why he did it. Abel said it was an "accident". Gemma asked Abel , "do you know what an accident is?" Abel replies, "Yes. Do you?"

In the latest incident last night he hurt himself and told the school and Jax that "Grandma" did it. School called social services and Jax had to take Abel back to his house to stay. Evidently, when Jax was putting Abel to bed, Abel spilled the beans.
