Would it be wise to buy a $360,000.00 house in woodbridge now?
Is this a good time to buy or market price can go down after the summer season? |
Of course prices can go down.
It's unlikely, but definitely possible. Don't try to time the market. Other factors can affect your monthly cost. If rates rise, for example -- suddenly the house costs more even though its actual price isn't likely to drop. |
Yes. It's A Good Community Getting Better. |
Ahhh, I believe OP was referring to WoodBRIDGE, not WoodRIDGE. Unless OP mistyped. Woodbridge, VA---Nope, wouldn't buy anything there. Woodridge DC--Absolutely yes to buying. How big? What street? |
if woodbridge works for OP commute and price wise, there is no reason to be rude about it based on your biases. The area has been expanding and improving as the middle class is forced farther out of the city. |
+1. Most people that live out there, work out there. DC isn't for everyone! Our commutes would be horrific if we lived in DC |
woodbridge is very neighborhood-specific. i would work with a realtor or talk to people who live in woodbridge. |
Yes to 9:11 - I know people who have tried to sell in Woodbridge and taken big losses or had their houses sit on the market for months. So you really want someone who knows that market. And you should use the same criteria you'd use anywhere else. Is this a good commute for me? Will it be a good commute from other places I might work? How are the schools? Do I plan to stay long enough that I can ride out short-term market fluctuations?? |
Lived in Woodbridge for a decade. Would not buy anything there again, ever. |
Why would you not buy anything there again? |
If rather buy in hell than in woodbridge va |
*I'd |
It will help me to decide if you could say why Woodbridge is such a bad place to invest. I am new in this area. |
If you work in DC the commute would be hellacious. |
Woodbridge is not considered desirable because it has many immigrants and bad schools. If you don't mind, go for it. |
