It's quite likely RFK will siphon votes from Trump. After all, RFK is an anti-vaxxer and doesn't believe Jan. 6 was an
insurrection.

The anti-vaxxer wackos and those that downplay the significance of Jan 6th will vote for Trump and they shouldn't be considered swing voters. RFK is a weak 3rd party candidate and his polling numbers won't last. He's only able to make this brief splash in the race due to the weakness of the major party candidates. Most swing voters will go go back "home" to Trump or Biden and RFK Jr. will pull 3% to 5% of the popular vote. Who that helps and hurts is anyone's guess.

The money is guessing it gives trump help he so desperately needs which is why the trumpers are giving their millions to rfk, jr.

RFK's voters seem to be low-information Ds and the eternally online edgy-contrarian left. Sadly he seems to be hurting Biden more than Trump.

But Republicans who care about their country will crossover and vote for Biden or not vote at all. There will be three choices on the ballot but only one choice for those who care about their country and want a sane president.

Because he’s there to spoil.

The Democrats have a nasty history of deliberating funding far MAGA candidates in the primaries order to make it easier for the Dems to win on election day. So they have no moral ground for complaining.

Will probably be voting for Kennedy come this November. I live in Maryland so any vote for anyone other than Biden is a wasted vote. Might as well give it to Kennedy. I like him even if I think he's a bit crazy, but he calls out the Democrats in ways they need to be called out and hopefully the next generation of Democratic leaders will get the message and not turn themselves into the destroyers of democracy in the name of saving it.

I have never heard that. Do you have any reputable articles to link?

Claire McCaskill boosted Todd Akin. NH Senator spent money on Dan Bolduc. Not quite the same thing, but Adam Schiff spend money attacking Steve Garvey, hoping to get Garvey votes from Republicans and into 2nd place in California's jungle primary and knocking out other Democrats.

It seems as though everyone identifying as R or D these days is a little behind the curve and paddling like crazy to catch up to nothing

I don’t see a lot of Democrats interested in RFK. I know a few Republicans who think he’s a fresh voice - recognize that argument, cons? You said it of Trump - and who are planning on voting for him. In their addled minds he’s the right kind of crazy but unburdened with the legal and traitorous baggage that Trump has. They’d never admit that this is their concern about Trump, but they think it.

I see even fewer Rs and Ds maintaining interest in Trump and Biden. It's as if our brains are waking up finally.

His eyes. He always looks drunk. Do we really know if he conquered that heroin habit he was arrested for?

Exactly. I'm not sure why he is getting so much attention. We already have two very weak candidates in the 2024 presidential race. For God's sake, we don't need a third!

You’ve never heard of the Kennedys ?

OMG.

The people who are most familiar with the actual Kennedys aren’t buying his schtick.

Yep, seniors are the one age group that knows for sure that people RFK Jr's age and up have no business leading in the most powerful position on Earth until 2029. Surely, the rest of us can figure this out, no?

Then why do his supporters want Trump to be President so badly?

Seniors are also less likely to be anti-vax - many are old enough to remember or at least some familiarity with polio and the polio vaccine.

He’s not, though I don’t suppose anyone expected a Republican like you to know that. You guys have always had a twisted version of what a liberal is, so of course you guys drafted a twisted person to run as a spoiler.

Kennedy will be the protest or conscious vote for the alphabet generations.

Millennials are reaching the age when people begin to view life through a more conservative lens. Gonna be tough election for Joe.

Good luck with that. Millennials aren’t turning into conservatives at anywhere near the rate that previous generations have. And the Republicans aren’t conservative anymore.
