Pregnancy after vasectomy?

Anonymous
Op again. I made a mistake with my last test. Did not pee long enough and no control line showed. I took that as a negative til I read closer. Peed in a cup, dunked in the stick, immediate blue line. So I do have two positives. Still could mean either freaky cyst or pregnancy.

Heading to dinner with friends now- no drinks for me just in case! Thanks for following along, it's definitely taken some of the "heaviness" out of the situation. I will update Monday for sure!

OP here. Dr visit this morning was inconclusive. They took blood and will call me tomorrow to discuss the levels. If normal, they will do an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy. If low or off, will do a diagnostic ultrasound to see what else could be going on.

No kidding! Was hoping they'd just cut out the middle man and do an ultrasound today to determine if my uterus had anything in it, since that would tell us right away what we were looking at, but they did not do that. So we wait until tomorrow!

Good luck OP.

One of my Dad's coworkers had TWINS after his vasectomy.

Thanks to you both. Not to sound like a Bible thumper or anything, but I really have no idea what "the best" for us is, so I'm just leaving it in God's hands. Whatever is meant to be, will be. If it's a pregnancy, I will just take that as a sign that we were meant to add to our family, or that this person was supposed to exist. And if it's a cyst, well, at least it made for a weird story!

My girlfriend had a 4th kids after her husband's vasectomy self corrected after 7 years. Yep, 7 years.

Another friend got pregnant after a set of twins when hubby got a vasectomy, passed with zero sperm at 6 weeks but did not go to the 6 month follow up... Yep, the swimmers were back.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Any phone call yet?

OP here. I got a phone call about an hour ago- I'm about 6 weeks pregnant! HCG levels are 109,000 and progesterone is 15.2, so they said all looks healthy. We are going in at 4 this afternoon for an ultrasound and hopefully everything will check out and we'll get an EDD. I've been on the phone ever since; our mothers are beside themselves. My MIL found out two other women in our family are also 6 weeks pregnant! My hands shook for about 30 minutes. What a shock!

I didn't know which way it would go, but I'm really just thrilled. What an unexpected surprise. I just have to assume that it was meant to be. I think we'll pick up a couple lottery tickets after our appointment today, though- just in case.
