Do you really not know how celebrities and other normal human beings stay thin? You either need attention or are a complete moron. I posted because I could not figure out if you were being funny or what. |
True. However, it's a matter of perception: what for you is sufficient nourishment, for others it might be restrictive and considered a diet. |
Hell if someone were willing to pay me a few million I would get my ass to the gym for a few hours a day!
Plus if they are eaters they eat very healthy, haven't you ever read what the stars eat when they are telling a magazine how they lost the baby weight Breakfast: protein shake Snack: celery sticks Lunch: broiled chicken or fish with steamed veggies and a little brown rice Dinner: salad with a little drizzle of oil and vinegar Add in an hour of daily exercise and we would all look good Also according to one of the Victorias secret models they go on a 9 day liquid diet before the big angels show, NO THANKS! |
I really thing there far less "naturally thin" people out there than what you'd believe. Many won't admit to putting significant thought into calories in/ out ratio. |
Airbrushing. This is the secret treatment only celebrities get. Well, you can do this yourself, if you cannot appear perfect in real life, you surely can in the photos. I see the photos of Claudia Shiffer all over the buses here in NYC. She looks like she is in her 20s in these photos, perfectly smooth skin, no sagging whatsoever. But, she is an old lady by modeling standards and surely doesn't look like this in real life. There is just no way. There is some obvious hard core airbrushing going on. And, they do this on young girls too. There was something on TV about the crazy amount of airbrushing going on on magazine covers and how it's wrong. Not only they airbrush the small skin imperfections like zits and under-eye circles, but they actually distort the images, making people look taller/thinner, reducing the size of the waist, shape of the face, nose, etc. Just slight adjustments to make sure people still look like themselves, but definitely makes them look thinner, younger and more beautiful than they actually are in real life. |

If I had to eat like this for the rest of my life, I'd shoot myself now. I'd rather be size 6 and eat what I want, than be size 2 and never enjoy all the wonderful culinary treasures. And, there is always a tummy tuck, I am not ashamed that this is definitely in my near future and give a rat's behind that whatever model/actress has a flat tummy without it. |
I think it depends on what age group we are talking about.
It is probably pretty easy for the young 20-somethings to look thin. Add a couple of children and a decade, then the number of naturally thin women I think shrinks quite a bit. The women who look fantastic right after giving birth for, like, the second or third time (thinking Heidi Klum here), they are a serious minority. FWIW, I know a handful of naturally thin women who I know eat and drink quite a bit. My BFF is like that - she can pretty much eat and drink anything and she looks freaking amazing. Granted, she doesn't have kids, but we are close to 40 by now... The other women I know are asian or african american. The white women I know who are slim work their butts off and honestly, they don't seem to eat much..at all. (I'm white by the way). |
Honestly - I have to eat like that to even get to a size 6. Seriously. I will probably die of starvation before I get to a size 2. Just isn't in my DNA. |

Didn't Marcia Cross once say actresses are paid not to eat? |
Yep. This. I don't think "most" are naturally thin, but probably some are. EDs are rampant among models and celebs though they adamently deny it until they admit it. (Think female cast members of Ally McBeal-3 now admit to having EDs during taping). I would be curious to know how many have osteopenia and/or are malnourished. |
Many go on a juice "cleanse" when they need to lose some weight. The Blueprint Cleanse has been popular for a few years. |
Not really. there are some body types you can't do much about, even if you turn yourself into skin and bones. And there is always the case of the "butter-face". You cannot correct the "butter-face" without the obvious plastic surgery and people will always tell. Not everyone can look beautiful. In fact a girl that is naturally beautiful, has nicely proportioned face and figure, but carries a bit of extra weight like 10-20lb will still be tons more attractive to an avg. male than a starved "butter-face" or a chick with tons of facial plastic surgery or a "skeletor". If you think of Jessica Simpson, she only started to look gross after a major weight gain, she was still very attractive at 125-130lb. But many people would think she is fat at her height and 125lb. Still looks pretty good to me, way way more beautiful than avg. looking face and skeletal not-well proportioned body - the girls I see around these days, who think they are hot. |
Thanks. I am going to think about this. |
What on earth is a "butter face"?? |
