What do you think of the boy name "Kai"?

It makes me think of Caillou- maybe because my son loves him.

For us it did not matter - but just wanted to share a POV.

AA standing for what? The only people I know with the name are AA (Asian American) or AA (African American).

I like it and would definitely consider it. We're also thinking about Kenzo, which has a similar feel to me.

Not a fan. Find it pretentious if you're not Asian.

Kenzo? Makes me think of Ken + Bonzo. Sorry.

Actually, more like Ken + Enzo. It's a popular Japanese name recently used by Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou for their son.

I don't think many people will come to the same conclusion as you do.

Kenzo is a nice name.

How is it a femme name? It's pronounced with a long "i", like eye. Not Kay.

A friend named her son Kai and he is the nicest young kid I know. He's never been beaten up for the name, either. Love the name!

It does sound feminine. You asked, OP.

One of the fab five on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, right?

What's with these name posts?! If you like a name, go for it. Why do you need the approval of strangers? Not to mention that EVERY name is going to be met with mixed responses. People will always have something to say, so accept that and go with what you like.

We named our little boy Kai. We get a lot of "That's interesting!" which means some people don't like it. Several people commented on Kai Risdahl from Marketplace. The name suits him well. Love it. Kind of hope it doesn't catch on, as we purposely avoided all the Jayden/Ayden/Kayden/Brayden names.
