Just like all of the businesses are? What a winning strategy you there MD! Make businesses flee and then your highest taxpaying individuals. Can't wait until you're a failed nanny state where 80% of the population is poor and needs govt handouts.

Businesses aren’t fleeing to nova. The job stats show that nova has anemic job growth while the major job growth is happening around Richmond. Why do you think youngkin was so desperate to bring the sports teams to nova? Amazon hasn’t panned out to what it was supposed to be, and businesses aren’t coming to nova anymore.

dp.. well, they are certainly aren't growing in MD.

Don’t you want to support basic services, like schools, roads, and fire departments ?

Always the pitch, never the reality. Every election there is bond issue after bond issue. Always for the laudable projects you mention. If those are paid by regular taxes why more borrowing? You never see a bond issue for bigger more gas-guzzling vehicles, fancier offices, bloated staff, and obvious vote-buying programs. But they certainly get a lot of funding.

There has been zero private sector job growth in Montgomery County over the last decade and it gets worse than that, because while the total number of private sector jobs has stayed the same, the number of retail hospitality jobs has increased and the number of white collar jobs has decreased. The largest employers in Montgomery County are the county and Federal government.
