Prediction. 1st offense, a huge fine. 2nd offense, straight to Jail.

Ah yes, jail the opposition. When exactly did we become a banana republic?

Trump is not Judge Marchan’s opposition.

New York would be a lot better off if its judges spent their efforts putting violent criminals behind bars rather than trying to muzzle prominent politicians they don’t like.

In this case, the point is that when Trump talks about people involved in his court case, his followers become violent. When Trump badmouths witnesses, attorneys on the other side, judges, etc, those people get death threats and stalked or get swatted. Trump encourages violence.

If he didn't encourage violence and threats, then he wouldn't be gagged. He has a history of trying to intimidate his legal opponents and the judicial system with violence from his MAGA followers. So, the gag order is justified in this case.

I think statistics will show that the Trump-supporting regions of the country are a lot less violent than the places that don’t vote for him. Trump supporters are violent, so shut him up? Give me a break. His opponents can’t stand the fact that he can be very persuasive.

Oh, yes. All those redneck evangelicals that stormed the Capitol on Jan 6 were anything screaming "Hang Mike Pence," defecating in public spaces, murdering Capitol police were hardly law abiding. When MAGAS have their next uprising, I can only hope the police are armed and shoot to kill every last one of them

Well.

How long until he violates it?

Trump being a former president and a current candidate is in a different league because of his 74+ million voters. Some local judge can’t shut down a political movement, as much as he’d like to.

Trump is a defendant, not a political movement.

True, but he seems to have convinced some people otherwise.

Not the judge though. Too bad, so sad.

His rants destroy innocent workers' lives. It has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with safety for the court workers, jurors and prosecutors. They need to do their jobs without fear that whack jobs from Utah will threaten them and gather outside their homes with assault weapons. Many people the Orange POS has targeted have had their lives upended because of his crazy attacks on them simply for doing their jobs or in the case of jurors, their patriotic duty.

Statistics show the opposite. Republican areas have far more violence - it’s just that your population density is so low you don’t notice it.

Yes, Trump supporters have problems with statistics. They use absolute numbers in low population density red areas to compare against absolute numbers in high population density blue areas and think that means that the rates are lower.

And he’s done this before. It’s one of his many law suits.

I hope Judge Merchant acts with alactricy with a $100,000 fine and an admonishment that jail will be next for Trump.

My god, the man has absolutely no self control. This is who you want, Republicans?

It’s a combination of being spoiled and dementia.

Notice how silent the MAGAs are. Too bad their idol doesn’t know how to be quiet.
