I'm pretty sure Obama had the same influence on the party chairman. It is not unusual.

I thought the GOP didn't like it when unqualified people gained unearned positions? Or does only matter if it is Hunter Biden?

This weakens the RNC because it means big donors who want to elect down-ballot Republicans will bypass the party and go through superPACs that are not controlled by Trump or his grift network.
