Woodward is an idiot. His charge mentioned in the article that Obama moved the goalposts is refuted by Woodward's own book. I guess Obama is not giving Woodward special access to inside information that Woodward would be able to use for his next book. That would be madness in Woodward's mind.
BTW, Woodward asks if Reagan would be constrained by a "document" (also known as a "law"). Does anyone remember what Reagan did when a law prevented him from funding the Contras? He sold arms to Iran. The same Iran that Woodward wants Obama to deploy a carrier against. The aircraft on that carrier could conceivably face those exact same missiles. But, Woodward probably don't think Reagan was mad for supplying such arms to Iran.

That may be true and if you were going to base your opinion solely on reputations, you would likely side with Woodward. On the other hand, if you actually looked at the facts as documented, clearly Klein has the upper hand. Going forward, one wonders how long Woodward can maintain his reputation. He just called a President's refusal to violate the law "madness". That is a long way from "All the President's Men".
