S/O- what do your engagement and/or wedding rings look like?

Anonymous
I have a 3 stone platinum engagement ring- round diamonds. It's a very modest size, but I love it. I have two wedding rings- one is a platinum half-eternity channel set diamond ring and the other is a plain yellow gold band, which I find much more comfortable than the other ring.

I think a plain wedding ring is very elegant. I know this might sound superficial, but I love looking at what rings people wear- just a glimpse into their personalities and tastes!

$86 plain gold wedding band. 1.32 carat single marquise stone engagement ring. Both in yellow gold.

Plain gold band. No engagement ring (but enjoy admiring others'). Just curious--why do you have two wedding rings?

platinum band with a 2ct. center stone and a 1/4 ct. sapphire on each side

My deceased grandmothers 1ct round stone reset in platinum with a baguette on each side. Channel set eternity band wedding ring. We were young and just starting out. New setting and band were together around $2k.

I love it. Seems so lavish and grand to me, but very modest compared to most of my friends.

OP here. I have two because I liked two very different looks (one diamond platinum ring, one plain yellow gold) and thought I'd take the plain one on my honeymoon. Both were blessed at my religious ceremony and both have equally special meaning to me

My wedding band is the 3/4 eternity from the same jeweler.

OP here. I love BGD! I have a few items from them- they're great!

I have a thin yellow gold band and an yellow gold Etoile from Tiffany's. The Etoile is .23 carats, I wanted a flush setting because I'm a leftie and didn't want to be banging the diamond around.

Just a yellow gold band. I'm not American and engagement rings or diamond bands aren't common in my country.

My wedding ring is a plain, gold pipe-cut band. It's pretty thin - 2mm.

My engagement ring is a .5 carat princess in a Bez Ambar quadrillion setting.

Similar in style to this, though not as huge. My center stone is much smaller, of course, and the shank of my ring is slimmer - maybe 2.5 mm. I think each of the little diamonds on my band is 5 points:

I also wear a Mignon Faget vine ring:

Often, I'll wear just the wedding band and the vine ring and either skip the engagement ring or wear it on my right hand. Everything is in yellow gold; I don't really wear white metals.

Plain yellow gold (14k) wedding band--not sure how many mm but thin.

Engagement ring is a simple, single round cut diamond on a plain yellow gold band--just slightly thicker than my wedding ring.

Those look beautiful! How is it holding up? (I might be too superstitious to take something less durable for a wedding ring.. but I know that's stupid.)

My wedding band is yellow and white gold with engravings of vines and leaves. I'm far too clumsy to wear a diamond every day. I have never regretted this ring. It's comfortable and I love how it looks. I almost never have to take it off and it's basically just a part of my hand now.

My engagement ring is several small diamonds set in yellow gold, I think .5 total carats. When I do wear it now, it's on my right hand. It doesn't really "go with" my wedding band, and my wedding band is a little wide to add another ring on top of it. I'm actually not too crazy about it. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen something other than a diamond.

I agree with you, OP, I love looking at people's rings. That's what they're there for. The most beautiful ones are not always the biggest or most expensive.
