I would never vote for Trump but I can in good conscience vote against my livelihood and that of my children.

On the one hand, it's bad for the country and the planet. On the other hand, your children may inherit more money from you when you die. So who's to say, really?

I can argue a restrictive tax on capital gains is bad for the country..it would reduce large scale transactions of assets/businesses.

No one is right, vote for what is in your family's best interest.

I usually try to vote for what's in society's best interests. "What's in it for me" is not a good guiding principle.

I can agree with this. We definitely don't need Trump in office but we do need more people serving in Congress that are as capable as Hogan and it doesn't matter which party they are in.

They are still studying whether it will be a subway, light rail or BRT. Most likely it will be a BRT.

BRT? So cheap. No vision. Oh well. (All the rapid bus routes the Hogan administration designed in place of the canceled red line fizzled out. BRT will likely fizzle out too.) At least Baltimore will get an amazing new Harbourplace designed by a European star architecture firm. That is, if city voters in the fall approve the referendum. Fingers crossed.

The point of transit is to move the most number of people the most efficiently. Some people seem to think the point of transit is aesthetics, “placemaking” and developer boondoggles.

And when Hogan is in the Senate, he will definitely not be a cheerleader for a revived red line in any mode. That would be admitting his administration made a mistake in cancelling it. I could see him supporting the N-S line in Congress however, especially if it goes through or near Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus.
