Date/court a Duggar. Between all of this dating gossip with the Glee star and Taylor Swift, I think he should get linked up with one of the Duggar gals. That is all.

Duggar girls don't date. They "court" in some fashion that involves little brother chaperones and no kissing.

I agree and would propose that he court Jessa Duggar, who IMO is the most attractive of them all. He'll need to go through Jim Bob, of course.

But he's a millionaire. And even if the Duggars aren't poor, I would be very wary to have 19 brother and sisters in law that seem to not have any other way to support themselves. (No college for any of them, right?)

Jim Bob has more money than people think. One Google on this guy's net worth shows $3.5M. The Duggars are millionaires.

Yes, the Duggars are very comfortable. But how will that play out in the next generation? None of their kids are employable, so if they have any hope of self-support (and wrt the boys, supporting a family), it would have to be via entrepreneurial means.

I think that this is part of the reason the girls are not courting. Jim Bob will not let them marry down, and as fundie royalty they have no real way of marrying up, or even laterally.

Exactly why they need a Tim - Jessa, Jana, J-girl romance. TLC could do a whole spin-off on this courtship.

And often in a cult like that, the estate is divided up among the sons.
Girls marry and live off the man, sons inherit and carry on with the family business

Either way, I bet the Dugger girls are not thrilled with their mothers example of womanhood and will rather become spinsters

Marry down = marry someone from a family with a lower socioeconomic status than that of the Duggars.

Given that the people in their circles do not encourage higher education, and tend to have large families (because they don't use BC), the odds of the Duggar girls marrying someone of comparable economic status are very low. Very low indeed.
